Brother FAX T106
Created: 06/08/08
I bought this second hand for my husband's business, it came without instructions but you can download the PDF version for free, because of the many set up options the instructions can be a little confusing, and have you going back & forward through them. Apart from that I found it Good value for what I paid considering it has the digital answer machine, and I got 2 new replacement print cartridges, which weren't mentioned in the item description.
If your going to be sending & recieving alot of faxes this may not be the best choice as it only holds approx 30 sheets of paper for receiving and 10 sheets for sending.

Low running cost, good print quality -and compact size

Other plain paper faxes are cheaper to buy, but look at how much they charge for printer ink rolls. The Brother can be filled with genuine or compatible ink rolls for around £4.80 per roll which prints about 140 x A4 faxes. This means it costs just over 3p plus your paper per A4 fax.
The T106 is upright and has a compact footprint, taking up little desk space. It does everything you need for simple light office use. Recommended.

I think that this fax machine was a bargain for me! I looks really nice, and sends faxes really well. I have never come across a fax that works so well with cordless phones. It receives faxes really well, also. The only downfall to this product is that the thermal roll of ribon runs out very easily, and needs changing after about 80 pages on the fax machine. There is no problem changing them. However, the rolls are very expensive! The cheapest I've found them to be, are between £20 and £30. Nevertheless, I am happy with the machine, and the rolls are fine to me, as I don't receive faxes often, I mainly use the fax machine to send faxes. This is my opinion, but maybe you might think differently? Nevertheless, it was, like I said, a GREAT BARGIN!!! (£16 inclusive of P&P)

Brother T106 Fax/Telephone/Answermachine
Created: 05/12/09
I was fed up of paying £45 for ink cartridges for my previous BT fax machine and I needed a good plain paper fax telephone answer machine for my business and the Brother T106 does the job brilliantly.
Its compact, stylish and has little extra's which are good for my business (eg. the hold/mute button has 4 melody options so my customers hear a tune instead of wondering if the line is still connected).
The only drawback I can think to mention is that this machine when bought new is supplied with only a partial ribbon cartridge so you do have to buy extra cartridges pretty quickly but other than that a very good machine for the price.

The Machine itself is a neat and small footprint FAX with a phone handset. Unfortunately, each received page uses a similar size or equal amount of Transfer roll and it soon runs out.
I would have preferred an ink cartridge system which would last longer, but for £25 (New Price in Currys) this is a cheap and easy system to add to your hardware list.
