bush mtt 1 turntable

an exellent mini turntable far better than it's price suggests 49.99 when new, very crisp sound reproduction, i bought it to go with my silver technics music centre and it fits in just perfect and has brought my old vynil collection back to life for very low cost. no wonder it got a 5 star rating from what hi fi . i would have liked a full auto deck but that would have driven up the price. i later found out that it is also sold under other brand names for considerably more money but badged as bush you get a much better deal for the same deck.

The Bush MTT1 deck

i rated this excellent for its better than average performance in its price band. It used to retail at £50 and was good at that price so for £4.95 is tha bargain of the year! all this said, it is a lo-fi turntable best suited to mini systems to help keep an aged record collection alive, it has a switchable output to help connection, I bought this for my partners system as she is cd and mp3 only and has/had unplayed for years vinyl! the bush is the perfect solution, cheap, small and decent sounding.

I wanted a turntable to replace my usb one. For the price I knew that I was not to expect hi-fi level.
When I opened the box, I was surprised at the turntable's size. It takes up half the space as previous ones.
One draw back is the sound, if connected straight to an amplifer the level of volume is almost zero . A phono pre-amp has to be used. Luckily I already have one and using this makes a significant improvement. One other drawback is because of its size I have trouble in cueing individual tracks.
All in all I am very pleased with this product. As a basic turntable it is ideal, but do not expect hi-fi sound!

Required a small, unobtrusive, no frills, turntable to play my old vinyl through a Bose system. The Bush MTT1 is perfect - simple to operate, with no added bits that can go wrong. The reproduction through the Bose system is excellent.

On arrival, looked brand new and virtually unused. It was bought as it was given a 5* rating by WhatHIfi.
Neat looking item with a small form factor, does what it is supposed to once a part inside had been lightly oiled as it would play one side of an LP and then stick just over 3/4's of the way through side two. Opened up the back and put some light oil on a slotted metal strip and this has solved the problem and it runs flawlessly everytime. Also the stylus arm wouldn't pick up at the end of a record but moving the arm to a point where it would pick up has solved that problem too.
Sounds good too so cannot complain considering what I paidfor it.
Only downside is the shortness of the phono lead - barely 1.5 ft long.
Worth buying if you can find it.
