Excellent all around Camera. I normally use a Canon 7d for my wedding work. However, this camera failed me. I bought this camera as a back up, and I have to say, I am more than surprised with this camera. With the right lens, you can work total miracles with this bit of kit.
Highly suggested, and as per usual, Canon never lets you down!
Also, the HD movie on this camera is outstanding.

possibly one of the best sub £500 cameras on the market, as a pro I use this as a backup everyday and would recommend it to any amateur or semi pro as their main camera

i bought this as my first dslr camera with the purpose of going to new york for my wedding and honeymoon.fantastic camera and well worth the money.still getting to grips with it but what i have photgraphed up to now has been high quality including the night shots. i cant fault it.

) This is my third Canon DSLR I like the camera a lot.
The performance for the Canon 500D is as you'd expect excellent, very hard to fault comes with a range of features that will keep most photographers more than happy. Beginners can start with the Basic Zone Modes (AUTO MODES)and get great shots, then move onto the Manual Modes.
I would recommend this camera to anyone.
