Canon Mp250 All-In-One InkJet Printer

The printer itself is very cheap. However it will not allow you to print only with one cartridge. Example: You only want to print black and white; you will still need to buy colour, even though you're not using it. And the ink itself is quite expensive. I bought black cartridge for £11.49 from eBay. And then colour for £21.99 from "cartridge world". However you can buy both black and colour cartridges from eBay easily by no more than £18. It is recommended to buy cartridges from eBay. Even more recommended to refill them instead of buying new ones. That will cost £12. So I bought the printer for £15.90( the cheapest you can get) then if I would buy both cartridges from eBay that would cost me £18, so overall cost is £30.

If you looking for speed then this printer is not for you, nor is it quite. Basically inkjet.

It prints photos really good, if you set it to print in high quality.

It has useful utilities to help you scan and tailor the image.
It also allows you to copy the documents.

To summarise if you buy this printer without cartridges this will cost you at least additional £18 and a refill costs £6 per cartridge.

It's very nice, but the ink costs are very high. Setting up was no problem, even for a Luddite like me. I tried to get it to function on only a black ink cartridge but it has to have the colour one there to get it to work (Sneaky Canon geezers!)
Overall, I like it and am pleased with it. It's replacing another, very old Canon and I hope it is as good as that one was.

this is an easy to use good value for money. It prints, copies, and scans. It is ideal for home use, and I would recommend it to anyone

I bought this printer on a recommend from my younger brother who prints his own jackets for cd's he has made himself. He also refills his own cartridges and has had his Canon printer since year dot!! He also use a R300 (Epson) to print the cd's. Now he is my little brother but if you squeezed him he WOULD squeak!! Or in other words he is a tight wad! If he does NOT get 101% from anything he buys he will complain to the highest person the item does not work! Recently for example he spent over £200 on a Sound Card from Sound Blaster. Ridiculous amount thinks me but he was adamant it was worth the money! It did NOT work and BOY when he complains he doe so! Had a letter back from the CEO no less! And suffice to say he got his way!
Now this si simply to point out if young mr Goddard says the Canon 250 is a GOOD printer it is just that and at 1p ONLY!! I reckon it was cheap anyway! JUST going back see if this guy has any more!!

Remarkable value for this all in one printer. requires only 2 cartridges 1 black and 1 colour (other models need 5!) very easy to set up and use. copies, scans and prints well. you won't be dissapointed as this is also well built and comes well packaged.
Far outweighs my old 'clonky' printer.
