Canon Mp250 All-in-One Inkjet Printer

The printer itself is very cheap. However it will not allow you to print only with one cartridge. Example: You only want to print black and white; you will still need to buy colour, even though you're not using it. And the ink itself is quite expensive. I bought black cartridge for £11.49 from eBay. And then colour for £21.99 from "cartridge world". However you can buy both black and colour cartridges from eBay easily by no more than £18. It is recommended to buy cartridges from eBay. Even more recommended to refill them instead of buying new ones. That will cost £12. So I bought the printer for £15.90( the cheapest you can get) then if I would buy both cartridges from eBay that would cost me £18, so overall cost is £30.

If you looking for speed then this printer is not for you, nor is it quite. Basically inkjet.

It prints photos really good, if you set it to print in high quality.

It has useful utilities to help you scan and tailor the image.
It also allows you to copy the documents.

To summarise if you buy this printer without cartridges this will cost you at least additional £18 and a refill costs £6 per cartridge.

I bought this product for a very cheap price, and if it's value for mine you're looking for then this is a great printer, the inks can be bought cheaply online from recommended retailers and can handle a wide range of paper and envelope sizes (A4 MAX). It has a lovely sleek design and looks great both in white and black, and with the addition of a scanner you are also able to easily photocopy, scan and print with ease. The software for this product is CD based and is included with the product, however not to worry if you lose the CD then the device drivers are available to download from the manufacturers website, so the ease of use when using different systems is second to none. In conclusion, good printer, perfect value for money, and if used respectfully it will work wonders.

I purchased this printer because the price was excellent. I was not expecting too much, just needed a working printer quickly.Boy have I stumbled across the bargain of the year! It is a fantastic piece of kit.
Firstly it loks great in our living room, fits neatly on to the bottom shelf of our glass 3 tier shelf. So the wife doesnt feel like I have converted the room into my office!
It was very easy to setup and came with a setup booklet although the process was very straightforward once you insert the cd rom. The software that it installs on to your computer is very good and you are ready to print immediately. I took a few minutes to familiarise myself with the software and there are lots of options to enhance your print quality, or preserve ink etc. All easy to navigate through and the actual window designs on screen are quality to. I printed some letters first and was pleasantly surprised. The printer was fast and quiet and the quality was good. Then I scanned a couple of documents which I had never done before. It was so easy-just lift the lid,place the document on the glass,close the lid and the printer automatically sacans the doc and opens a window on the laptop which you can use to view,save,or tweak the settings then click print...hey presto scanned and copied in about 1 minute! Then I had a go at printing off some photos, again the software was easy to use and there are lots of options to enhance your pics if they are a bit dark etc. Sorry I cannot give any detail about spec or compare to other printers as I am a bit of a novice. But I will say that if you need a home printer, that looks good-scans-does photos-is quiet-is very easy to learn how to use-then you will not be disapointed with the canon mp250. Highly reccomended by me :)

It's very nice, but the ink costs are very high. Setting up was no problem, even for a Luddite like me. I tried to get it to function on only a black ink cartridge but it has to have the colour one there to get it to work (Sneaky Canon geezers!)
Overall, I like it and am pleased with it. It's replacing another, very old Canon and I hope it is as good as that one was.

this is an easy to use good value for money. It prints, copies, and scans. It is ideal for home use, and I would recommend it to anyone
