) The canon powershot A490 digital camera is the first camera I have bought for 10 years and turns out to be such a great buy. It was recommended to me by a professional photographer; the features are easy to understand, even for a 'non-digital' preson like me, and its versitility amazing, I particularly like having the option of stills or video. Having such a light weight camera on my belt the whole time when walking is a freeing experience (from carting an SLR around on my neck) and the speed of the various programmes means I don't lose the moment. I would hightly recommend this camera to anyone.

A wonderful little camera, I have bought 3 Canon powershot and the seem to just get better. Even though the zoom could be better this is covered over by its ease of use and pocket size. It is also extremely tough wearing and bounces well, I use this camera everyday of my life (no exaggeration) and its quick shutter has served me well indeed.

Canon Powershot A490 Megapixal Digital Camera

) I like Canon! Unfortunately whilst on holiday I had my beloved Powershot 2000is stolen and when I returned I had to find a replacement for it. I haven't taken many photo's with it but the ones I have taken have been very good, very clear. I really wouldn't expect anything else from Canon, I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Good value for money

Excellent product.Am using it mainly to sell on Ebay and it works well. Picture quality is a slight problem but probably down to the photographer rather than the camera!
