Canon PowerShot SX210 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera - Black

The good thing that I wanted , was the ability of a compact digital still camera to also record vids at gigs and things, and to be able to zoom in close without losing focus. This has an 14x amazing zoom , a good 1/4 mile can be brought into focus easily, or whatever techie speak that is. As a casual home user and not a professional, I wanted macro close up shots, zoom when on video mode, a self timer, flash on or off, and the ability to look good and not overwhelm with weight and bulk. There are several features for special effects that I have not used yet and I am still looking at it for those things. I have had several Canon cameras before and would never go to a different brand now as the clarity , quality of camera body and components inside are second to none. It is nice in the satin gold tone which is my option. Looks expensive and black and silver bored me but didnt want garish either!! I got a nice case as the large back LCD panel looked vulnerable, found a proper Canon leather case for a tenner, at ebay and LCD protective vinyl for pennies, and it fits snug as a bug. Takes SD cards and XC and is very advanced, great point and shoot results, has its own lithium battery. I really cannot recommend it highly enough and has all the features I sought.

I absolutely love this camera, it's small but very powerful and the zoom especially comes in really handy. Some people in other reviews said there was an issue that the flash pops up where your finger naturally sits however the LCD screen at the back sticks out a bit so you can rest your finger on that if you 'curl' your hand around the camera.

I've found all the features very easy to use including the 'auto smile trigger'. If it disappeared I would definitely buy another but seeing as it feels very robust and comfortable I doubt it will break or vanish any time soon, finaly a decent camera I can fit in my pocket!

This camera is brilliant, it's small enough to take anywhere but still has a great weight and feel to it. With 14.5 megapixels the quality is top notch and cool features like fish eye and miniture mode make this camera a must have!
