i had this film on vhs and watched it many times over the years so when i saw this movie for a few pounds it was a must have purchase, this was on of my favourite movies during my teenage years and i enjoyed the soundtrack as much as the film itself, it was in my opinion the late john candy's last really good performance and this is him at his best, although fact based, some of the events have been dramatised for the movie, which isnt a bad thing after all it is meant to be a heart warming movie, being from disney it is also a good movie for all the family. with an undertone of triumph against adversity which focuses on the underdog. great performances by candy and the bobsleigh team and there are a few memorable lines that as a teenager i used to quote. "sanka you dead ? " " yeah man " " i see pride, i see power, i see a bad ass mother who don't take no crap off of anyone" I was a huge john candy fan and this movie doesnt disappoint, along with his other great roles in only the lonely, stripes, uncle buck, who is harry crumb, dellerious, spaceballs and planes trains and automobiles, this has to rank in the top 3 of my favourite candy roles. so if you want a family movie that is fun and heart warming i would go for this, or even if you are just a john candy fan it is also worth a purchase. I especially liked jimmy cliffs rendition of i can see clearly now, love you want, and wild wild life off the soundtrack.

Cool Runnings classic of 1993
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Classic comedy from the 1993 starring the late great John Candy, who enters a Jamaican bobsled team into the 1988 winter Olympics. Based loosely on a true story but with a few new twists to make it more Disney.
"Our Father, who art in Calgary, Bobsled be thy name. Thy kingdom come, gold medals won, on Earth as it is in Turn Seven. With Liberty and Justice for Jamaica and Haile Selassie. Amen."
Well worth watching.
