Great Ads and a great dvd...

After 10 long awaited years, Creature Comforts is finally back with a new series!
Mirroring the format of the original Creature Comforts Oscar winning short, where members of the public are interviewed, and then characters are developed and animated to the voices, the all new series is made up of a total 13 episodes (the first 6 of which can be found on this DVD), each focusing on different aspects of everyday life.
Episode topics include gardening, food, holidays and even UFO sightings! Each 'voice' has been brought to life with aptly animated creatures such as Gary and Nigel the slugs, Sid and Nancy the Shed Rats and Dexter the alley cat, creating a subtle and engaging breed of humour!
The series which has the classic Aardman values, and comes form a very good pedigree of productions such as 'Wallace And Gromit' and 'Chicken Run', will undoubtedly have a very broad appeal, enticing both children and adults as well as loyal Aardman fans.

Plasticine that breaths

I luv it. i swear before long you forget they are plasticine and just laugh at the comments. Quality in every line - which just proves real life is funner than fiction. The premise is so simple - take comments from the ordinary person and then make plasticine characters - who happen to be animals in form - appear to be saying the words. Open laughter to amuse the five to ninety five viewer. Dont pay a fortune but its really worth watching. I plan to get the others and will be holding it in my dvd collection for rainy days.

Keep in mind how long it must of taken to create

These short clips amused and amazed me. Nick Park makes it look easy. He is a talent in stop-motion animation especially in the way he captures such a wide range of creatures from domestic, farmyard to deep sea. What topped it for me was discovering that the voices were audio recordings from the street or homes of the actual British public. An excellent evening's entertainment or perfect shorts if you want to spread the chuckles out! Highly recommend.
