Needed a fast boot drive, tried migrating to an OCZ octane but that was no faster than my 2.5" 7200 HDD, (should have read the reviews).
The Crucial M4 is much faster, once I downloaded the ISO file from Crucial to upgrade the firmware to version 00F. Don't be put off by this, the instructions from the Crucial website guide you through the process. You will need to burn the downloaded iso file to a CD and reboot, but it only takes seconds to upgrade, and the speed difference is considerable.

This SSD is awesome 539Mb/s on real read performance, the write speed is little less, but the boot windows is very very very fast...
