    i wanted the 1812 overture as i dont possess one. however, this CD is rather disappointing, the rendition of the said overture falls below par. i was expecting to hear the full monty, that is, to hear the cannons firing but there was none of that. the other pieces in the CD was better, in comparison.
    The best version of the 1812 oerture still eludes my grasp.
