Epson SX130 is a cheap price all in one colour printer with excellent printing quality, Scanner quality is also excellent.
Colour photocopy is so clear that you can`t be able to recognize which is copy and which is original document.
It just has one thing that the colour printing takes almost 60 seconds to print one A4 colour print but the quality is excellent and you cannot expect more from an inkjet printer so it is not a problem but normal.
And it is a cheap all in one printer as well as its inks are also very cheap as compared to others.
You can get individual ink catridges which is very good thing.
you can get 1 compatible individual ink catridge just for 2 pounds and a full ink set for just 6 pounds, which is a far better thing as compared to other inkjets.
One more thing is that the Epson SX130 is not wireless.
That is all but remember that when buying any other brand like lexmark etc keep in your mind that epson SX130 and its inks are much cheaper than all other inkjets.

Bought mine used but still with warrantee left on it so less than a year old I think.
Had problems with the ink cartridges which the status monitor showed as still 1/4 full, but trying to use the printer they went from 1/4 to empty, one after the other. After replacing with genuine Epson cartridges all showed to be rapidly emptying with no usage, only 2 test prints. I think this must have been a problem with the cartridges, which I bought from Tesco.
I subsequently bought a new set of non-genuine third party inks at a quarter of the price and installed them. I did have to take one out again and reinstall, but since then the printer is going great. Both text and photos are of what I would say is excellent quality. The printer is easy to operate and there is a facility for photocopying without using the computer, just press one button and it scans and prints. There are also shortcuts to the most common printing scenarios (A4 Black, Photo 4x6 colour, etc) which are useful, and there's a good user manual.
The only downsides seem to be that some parts are rather flimsy (thin plastic) such as the paper support, which came off in my hand, but was easy enough to put back in, and the "how to buy inks" message which comes up when the machine annoyingly rejects your new ink cartridge-this feature is annoying when your newly installed genuine cartridge comes up as empty, and doesn't endear you to Epson!
Besides for these little quirks it's a good printer giving decent quality printing for a very low price.

It's low budget, cheap, ink is affordable and decent only as a printer.

This was bought as a low budget all in one printer scanner copier, and for the most part it is what I expected. The printer aspect works fine, as does the copier (although colours seem to be washed out, and occasionally inconsistent and the printout speed awfully slow). Again, I am not going to begrudge in this regard as I wouldn't expect like for like representation at this end of the market nor for it to compete with my higher end HP All in One..
Where I have been extremely disappointed is in the scanning function. The pictures are quite poor, and contrast no matter how much I tried to tweak it, it just did not represent the original document. Where it gains marks is the ease of use (despite the instructions being quite flimsy) for the most part the functions are quite self explanatory.
It works as a black and white printer/ copier but if you could afford to increase your budget as well as operational costs (more expensive) ink then definitely take a look at HP, Canon or Lexmark for your printing solutions.

Bought my SX130 in November 2011.
Overall its a good printer ....just so long as you don't need anything fast.
As already reported its VERY slow..... A full page colour will often take 2 minutes ..... for just one page, but the quality is excellent.
Also be aware it won't let you print the joke / play bank notes.... it thinks they are real and just does not print.
Running costs if you use the CISS system like I do is EXTREMELY low.
I bought £6.00's worth of ink in November (Its now March 2012) and have printed approx 3000 pages and the bottles are still half full , so thats about 6000 pages for £6.00.
I've read somewhere that if you buy the individual cartridges, the running cost can be quite high....... so worth considering the Continuous Ink supply system.
