Epson Stylus R1800 Digital Photo Inkjet Printer

I suppose the first thing to mention is that the Epson R1800 is not a domestic printer. It is designed for business or commercial use and for mass printing of high quality photographs.
Made in 2005 you will struggle to buy a new one anywhere, for this reason then, second hand is the only option. I have always been wary of second hand printers due to nozzle problems and regrding most R1800 i have seen they always start to degenerate after 2 or three years of use.

If you know how to restore them, or are willing to pay that extra few pennies to have it seen to by and Epson Technician then go ahead and grab yourself a bargain! If you are however, buying with the intention of producing professional prints with a 'Plug and Play' attitude then well think again!

It may well be worth the extra dosh to buy a brand new printer which comes with a manufacture warranty.

Excellent quality prints and completely borderless. Prints quietly and reasonably quickly. Solidly built and I can get a ciss ink system for it.

so happy with my printer,i wish all my buys were so good.....can not weight to play with it.very pricesy inks from epson,i neerly died from the shock,£126.00 very neerly the cost the printer....stuning photos..10 out of 10.....

We purchased this for sublimation reasons but have also used it for other print jobs. Whilst this is no where near as quick as our HP 6500 for printing in draft, the quality certainly makes up for the lack of speed. However, when printing in best photo quality the speed is very good for a full A4 sheet. Our jaws dropped at the quality of printing photographs. This machine is also very quiet when compared to our HP, the print head can hardly be heard moving.
