I purchased this printer to use with my Macbook Pro and my girlfriend's Macbook Air. It works well with Mac Lion 10.7. That's the good thing. However, the wireless connection is rubbish! We managed to get it connected for the first time, and the printing went well, but a few days later, when we turned on the printer for a few pages printing again, it didn't receive signal from both our laptops anymore. Too frustrated, we decided to use the cable instead. And we have been using cable since then.
Next, the printing speed is below average. I had 2 printers before, 1 from HP and 1 from Epson. Both of them were color printers, and both of them printed twice, even 4 times faster (economical mode selected). There's no economical mode here for this printer, meaning there's no way to save ink, and no way to increase the printing speed!
Besides, the printing quality is okay. The scanner works okay as well (though slower than my professional scanner, of course!). So if you're looking for an average all-in-one printer and don't expect much from it, this is not a bad idea.

I purchased this printer for someone else who is a complete novice with all forms of technology and was surprised at the ease with which they installed and used the machine!
The installation instructions - though sparse - were clear, concise and very easily followed. The wireless connected almost immediately, but the first test page took about 40 seconds to print off due to the distance of the laptop from the printer. However, in its favour, the printer was 20 feet away with two very thick walls in between and in a notorious wireless, 'dead zone'!
The print, scanning and copying quality is superb and, depending on it's settings, more than fast enough for the average user.

Its a nice little printer this one - the first one I received did not work, but the second one is great - print quality it good and the cost of Epson Ink is less than any other on the market.
The wireless side is easy to setup and seems to be quite stable - I was worried that it would lose connections etc. but it is good.
All in all, a good buy!

discontinued xp205 model new one *
Ink supply I Have at office for a sx235w (which costs more than printer) , just if you already have ink in stock. This is my 3rd sx235w so I know product well. the xp225 newer ink is same shape ink cartridge basically but different chips on cartridges and those cost more. Epson and there chipped cartridges = big consumer rip off. work out how much u pay per litre and its hundreds of pounds per litre , you wouldn't pay that for petrol would you ?
