The main reason I bought this printer was because I was a bit shy on space - These printers are still large enough but it compliments my office quite nicely! Looks like a nice piece of kit and the wireless aspect was another driver for me as I wanted a clean look, without wires.
The setup was simple enough but took me a few attempts (almost certainly user error!) however the first task I needed it for was to scan some documents onto the computer and again, perhaps user error, I needed a cable to complete this.... seems wireless doesn't do what I thought it did!
Really slow at printing when sending pictures wirelessly and even scanning with a cable seemed to take forever hence my 2/5 for speed rating.
Word Documents and text are absolutely fine - Quick printing and good quality. I haven't used it enough yet to know what the cartridge ink consumption is like but seems that you can buy replacements easy enough and/ or have them refilled. (Note, I do not have the Epson branded ones with mine so it would be unfair to comment in case).
Having tested all the functions, I can say I am generally content with my purchase - It wasn't so expensive that I can complain about anything. It does a job, it looks good and although doesn't work wirelessly from printer to computer and can be a bit slow, I don't have any major gripes.

I bought a refurbished SX435 from Argos,via their Ebay site,at a bargain price.
The printer was boxed,as new,and easy enough to set up,but I have found it very slow, even slower than my previous R300,but the print quality is up to the usual Epson standard,i.e very good.
It seems, however, quite heavy on cartridges, and if I used Epson replacements,I couldn't afford to run it!
So far,I've used two sets of compatibles, and only printed out a few A4 prints, and a couple of camera reviews.
Luckily, compatibles are cheap enough, which is why I always buy Epson printers, although they don't seem to last too long,my previous all-in-one,a DX7450,just stopped recognising the cyan cartridge,no matter how many I tried,so that's parked in the garage now!
Epson printers all seem a bit slow printing out photos, but as I'm retired, speed isn't such a problem,as long as print is up to the mark, and this printer does deliver in that department!

We purchased this all in one printer to upgrade our existing printer as we liked the idea of it having built in WiFi, as our other printer didn't have this feature.
Good points - If you are not looking for a top of the range all in one printer then this printer is fantastic value for money and very easy to use. Print quality is okay. The screen on the front of the printer is clear and easy to read. The printer takes 4 ink cartridges instead of the standard black & colour cartridges which is great as you only need to replace the colours you use the most! Set up was fairly straight forward although if you haven't installed the ink cartridges you cannot set up to your computer until you have done so!
Bad points - The print speed is fairly average if I'm honest and I was slightly disappointed by this, and the paper loading tray at the back can be quite temperamental, it often says there is no paper loaded when there is. Also when you move the loading tray at the back into a recline position it feels like it would break very easily.
Overall I am pleased with the printer, as it is still great value for money and I would definitely recommend.

I purchased the printer thinking all I needed was a simple to use printer... It was so easy to set up on my WiFi network. I am so happy with it so far. It has a lot of features such as photo printing,scanning... I would recommend this printer to anyone who has limited space, needs a WiFi connection and is very cheap to run. It's great because it gives you the option to print in color or B&W. It has 4 separate cartridges so you can just replace the one that is out. Buy it.......

I purchased this printer because it was wireless. It will allow you to print straight from your iPod touch, iPhone or iPad if download an app called Epson iPrint. The printers wireless can be a little bit unpredictable and drops out and then you have to renter the password which is a pain as you are doing it on a tiny little display with a few buttons and arrows. One you get your head around it all thought it Ida great little printer. Wireless is the way forward.
