Fujifilm FinePix F500EXR 16.0 MP Digital Camera - Black

I am a complete novice when it comes to photography, but I recently became a Grandma and of course I want to take loads of photos.
I have had other cameras, but I have usually ended up disappointed with the results, no doubt due mainly to my inexperience, so I wanted one that seemed foolproof.
I did quite a bit of research and this one for me came out top, due to the features, style and the cost. It seemed great value for money. I did think it was too good to be true and almost bought a more expensive one because of this, am I glad i didn't!
Since receiving it I have taken loads of photos and have even had some of them enlarged and put onto canvas. It is very very easy to use, you can just point and shoot on auto or you can be a bit more adventurous when you gain a bit of confidence. The colours are fantastic and very vivid. The picture quality is very sharp.,
I wanted to take some closeups of my grandchild, just head/face shots, I was afraid they would be blurred, but no, I shouldn't have worried, they were as clear as a bell,showing every detail.
All in all this camera has exceeded my expectations and made my photos look proffessional, which takes some doing.
I would recommend this little jewel to everyone,whether experienced or not.

I am amazed at the power and range of this little camera. I wanted something to replace my previous favorite which was a Zenith EM SLR 35m. That had several lenses, a separate flash gun, a selection of shutter speeds, required selection of film speed v exposure meter reading, selection of aperture. Focusing was manual...... and so on. Not good for a spontaneous snap!
The automatic function on this little beauty takes all that faffing about away. Its 16mp definition gives beautiful sharp photos, even using the maximum zoom.
It took me a short while to work out how to access the memory card and the buttons are a little small but - definitely a 5 star recommendation from me.

I myself have a HS30EXR bridge camera which my wife loved as she had an old skool pink very slow fuji film camera. So after lots of research went for this, the features are very good and easy to navigate round and with its 1.1 second to take a pic is a huge difference to her old model. The night shots and slow motion recording are great fun the picture quality is on level par with the Nikon J1 so well worth the money.

Excellent quality camera easy to use with a quality feel with no issues all in all a bit of a bargain really!

100% better than f40 and thats saying something!!
