    The rugged Garmin Oregon 550 is a handheld GPS receiver featuring a 3.2 megapixel digital camera with a 4x digital zoom that lets you capture moments and places on the way. This touchscreen GPS navigator comes with 850 MB of internal memory to store these geo-tagged images and maps. This handheld GPS receiver lets you add additional maps with microSDs from MapSource and Bluechart g2 for a great adventure on land and sea. This WAAS-enabled touchscreen GPS navigator with HotFix satellite prediction locates your position quickly and accurately under thick foliages and deep canyons. A multipurpose device, the Garmin Oregon 550 includes a barometric altimeter to provide elevation data and a 3-axis electronic compass that points you towards the right direction even as you stand.

    Been using this for 24 hrs now. Seems alike avery capable piece of kit. Good features for Geocaching (which I bought it for), Will accept street maps, explorer maps (very good) and also bluecharts for marine use.
    Simple enough to use but Garmin's instruction manual is a bit rubbish - I had to google how to load the geocache waypoints in although it was very simple once explained.
