Garmin zumo 660 GPS Receiver
Created: 07/03/10
As an upgrade to a garmin 500 or 550 the New 660 is a great piece of kit. Easily transferable to the car and totally at home on the bike, the unit is easy to set up and use. The voice instructions are clear, and precise allowing time to adjust your speed for an upcoming junction or change of lane, especially on a dual carriageway or motorway, the Lane Assist feature is excellent.
The unit allows a number of different configurations of the screen to suit personal preferences, and the warnings on speed limits is a useful addition to the many alerts it can provide.
Satellite pick-up is fast and means you are on the move in seconds once the 660 is switched on, the security feature is a good addition, allowing you to have to input a security code before the unit will function if away from your Home Location, where it will start without the need for the code.
The screen is clear, even in bright sunlight and is easily adjusted to suit your individual preferences.
All in All an excellent piece of Satellite Navigation equipment

Another great Garmin product, if a bit pricey.

Great unit. Very easy to fit. Even easier to use. It has got very good graphics, and an easy to use screen with large letters and icons for use with thick bike gloves on. Hope to fit bluetooth in near future so can hear turn prompts and maybe a little music. another great feature is you can go on a ride that you have not done before ie, a club rideout etc, then save the ride to your favourites to do again at your leisure. Only downside that i can find is that my car Garmin has same size screen and cost approxiamately a quarter of the price, still, i can't use that on the bike as it's not water and petrol splash proof???? Overall it's a fantastic unit and would recommend it.

Excellent Motorbike GPS

This is the first motorbike GPS I have brought. Having looked at several different reviews the two products I was looking at where the Tom Tom Rider system and the Garmin. Having already used a Garmin GPS unit in a car I was already impressed and familiar with the Garmin system. I chose the Zumo because of its large screen size and thin depth so it would be easier to mount on the handlebars. I have found the product very easy to use straight out the box, and only took a couple of hours to mount on the handlebars and wire into the battery (although this may vary according to bike). It is very quick at finding satellites and working out routes, the screen is easy and clear to read at a glance and easier to use with gloves on than without! Although I do not have much to compare it with, I am very satisfied with the Zumo and would recommend it!

About Garmin zumo 660 satnav
First of all i need to say this is my first satnav.
I drive motorbike and i thought this will be the best...
And yes ! No doubt this is what was i needed !
Opened the box:
First i opened the box i couldnt close it properly cause there is a lot of accesories with it for fix it in the car and for motorbikes.
Easy to set it up and the material is quality as well.
The machine:
Really easy to handle from the first start. Great widescreen, easy to touch in gloves! Brilliant bright screen even in sunshine !
Easy to connect with any bluetooth device and could handle my phone and bluetooth headset together.
To get ready the system takes around half minute and after it always found satellites without any delay.
Im really satisfied with this product recommend for everybody who rides any kind of motorbikes or who even just need a waterproof satnav!

Maybe a little dear, but great bit of kit. All the mountings are in box as standard for both car and bike. Includes all charging accesories (unlike tom tom who charge extra afterwards!!) clear and well thought out. Seems robust and well made. Mapping clear. This is my forth gps device, but first for a bike. It out performs all others i have had from various manufacturers,(price is certainly a factor here). mountings are secure and vibration free. I am suprised how good it is in fact. A pleasant change.
