A soothing collection full of pan-pipe interpretations of some of the most famous excerpts of classical and film music, all brought to life by the now-legendary skill of Gheorge Zamfir. As a collaborator with some of the movie world's big-hitters (most notably Ennio Morricone and Quentin Tarantino), Zamfir has gained a reputation for his sparse and soulful tone with the pan-pipes, ably demonstrated on versions of works by Albinoni, Handel and Schumann. Balancing this more serious work is a crowd-pleasing adherence to contemporary hits, including 'I Will Always Love You' and Elton John's 'Candle In The Wind'.

It was the haunting sound of one of the tracks "The Lonely Shepherd" from the film "Kill Bill", which drew my attention to this performer, truly relaxing music.
