The black and silver HP Pavilion w1907v Widescreen LCD Monitor offers the big screen experience for any desktop PC or laptop computer with VGA output that features the plug and play capability. The display is built around a 19-inch, 1,440 x 900-pixel TFT, active matrix LCD panel that provides sufficient screen real estate to have multiple windows open at once. This HP w1907v LCD monitor uses HP’s patented BrightView technology for enhanced clarity and color brilliance, making it suitable for anything, from reading text to viewing digital photos. Gamers will appreciate the specifications on this HP LCD monitor, including a 5 ms response time and 75 Hz refresh rate. The base provides tilt and swivel functionality, as well as cable management and concealed, built-in speakers. However, for those who prefer a clear desktop, the HP Pavilion w1907v Widescreen LCD Monitor can be wall mounted by using a standard VESA 4-hole mount. The HP LCD monitor is Energy Star compliant and uses only 2W in sleep mode, reducing its operating costs. I've owned this monitor for nearly three years and I was very pleased with the picture quality during that time. However it has now broken down. It has developed a fault whereby it will power up ok but the screen then goes black after a couple of seconds and is unusable. Googling the hp forum you will see that this is a common issue with the monitor.

I wanted this for editing photos and videos and works a dream, it does struggle with XP but any modern monitor will, the picture is cornea burning bright & clear just the way i like it, the power button is on the top of the unit (a bit strange) but it works that way and I like it, like a few other HP monitors on the market it has a tray build into the stand for pens etc... its useless and just harbours clutter, apart from that its fantastic!

Good quality screen for images, though is appeared a bit sharp when looking at text. Perhaps that may have just been down to setting it up correctly. Its a good looking screen though and I like it....
