superb android phone for someone who wants a blackberry style keyboard on a mobile phone with latest android version (gingerbreatd) and a good quality camera (5MP). posting videos to facebook is the unieque feature of this phone which no other phone supports so far. ofcourse pics can be uploaded too but u get to choose the album you want to upload to and you can even choose the privacy of the picture too !! this and many other features of the facebook button are unieque to HTC CHACHA. keep your head up for the battery usage.
I changed the original memory card with my own 8GB and the battery was lasting only hardly 12 hours. reset the phone to factory settings many times but the software version remained same. then again i formated the memory card and then reset the phone and the software version changed to a lower / older and on restart phone offered an update to the software too. afterwards battery life after decent usage became like 25 hours.
then again as I used the phone i noticed that as you install too many apps on the phone dun matter if you exit them properly and keep everything off and keep the syncing to manual and everything. still the phone having lesser free memory and more apps being installed somehow effected the battery life heavily. so just keep that in mind :)
I like the phone quite well :)

Great little smartphone. As with many android smartphones, especially of this era, the battery life isn't amazing, but it's good enough to last a day of heavy use and a few days of light use.
With an 800MHz single core CPU, it's starting to lag behind the pack of more modern offerings, but only officially running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), I've found this to be more than capable.
The physical keyboard is the main advantage of this device. I run this as a second phone with a Nexus 4 as my primary, and I've found that when it comes to messaging on google talk, and quick internet searches, I actually tend to choose the ChaCha over the Nexus. Tactile touchscreens are in development, but I'd imagine we're still a few years off something that can match a physical keyboard for usability.
I would prefer if it wasn't supplied with HTC Sense by default, but this is just an opinion, and I know many people that actually prefer the HTC UI to the stock Android interface.

My son bought this phone with his birthday money. He had a Blackberry before but feels the HTC is alot better. The touch screen & qwerty keyboard makes it easier to use. Appart from the battery life not being too good as having to charge twice a day, we would highly recommend this phone. My eldest son has an I phone and is thinking about changing it for a HTC. :)

I already own a HTC desire HD, and i wanted to get an android phone for my wife. A cha cha seemed a nice little version of mine that had all the features that you may expect from a smartphone these days. I have not seen much of the wife since the phone arrived , she is well into all the settings, internet browsing and communication that a good phone would offer, just got to wait for her to get a little bored with the phone so we can see more of each other LOL. Fantastic little phone if i had a small issue i would say it is the screen size, but if as the wife did want a keyboard then it is of little sacrifice.
