HTC Flyer is an amazing tablet, I was using it for more than a yearwent through an upgrade Gingerbread to Honeycomb, and it’s still just like new, like I bought it yesterday.
Note taking
Note taking with Flyer is an absolute pleasure, you can add a picture, audio or video clip with your notes. Though there is no handwriting recognition, you can write with the ease of a pen or pencil, (yes, there are few options when you use the writing mode like normal ballpoint pen, pencil, calligraphy pen etc.) Every time I go for a conference or University I always pack Flyer, where I can easily write and capture everything.
Office Applications
It’s a mini computer, with the help of office suite for android, like Quick Office you can create, edit, view Word, Excel, Access or you can use Microsoft OneNote to sync with your files through Windows Live Skydrive.
E-Reader
HTC Reader is probably the best e-reader I came across, not only because it’s great features and animation (like page turning which follows your finger just like a real book), but with the pen you can directly write, annotate, or highlight just like a real book. There are tonnes of auto features too.
Calendar and other apps
The Calendar feature is excellent, so advanced, yet simple. Great layout and it can sync with your online calendars too. Also you can download Dropbox and other software to sync your work and entertainment.
Extra features
Kidmode, dock mode, car panel, voice recorder, youtube, shopsavy, weather, stocks….there are lot of additional apps and features comes with HTC Flyer.
Camera and Camcorder
It has a very good camera and an okay camcorder, switching is so easy. I have got some excellent pictures, and videos, even from a running train. Rear camera is 5 MP and the secondary (front camera) is 1.3 MP.
Add a Sim Card
You can use your sim card for mobile operations, Internet or SMS, it is really handy when you are travelling or away from Internet hotspots.
WiFi and Connectivity.
Flyer has great WiFi features, easy to configure, and automatically picks the right Wifi, when it comes to connectivity Flyer is simply amazing. Connectivity: Bluetooth, WLAN 802.11b, WLAN 802.11g, WLAN 802.11n
Processor
The 1.5 GHz processor is really good, there are better processors now, but I have never experienced any slow or resource heavy performance from my HTC Flyer.
Gaming
There are some great games for Android like Shadowgun (check the gameplay on youtube) and Flyer load the game within seconds, and reload it less than three seconds.
Play Store and Online apps
Access the play store for great android apps, with a built in apps like Google-talk you can talk to your friends without spending another penny.
Touch and Pen
Let me repeat again, pen is simply awesome and the multi-touch features are superb.
I know you probably researched Flyer for all the features. The purpose of this review is to tell you that it’s a great buy, even against the iPad as Flyer is feature rich and brilliant. I bought the Flyer when it was introduced to the market more than a year ago, and as I said, it hasn’t aged a day but performance wise it’s getting better every day.

I've had mine since September 2011.
I bought it because i've always had an HTC device since the days of the XDA1, and having used a number of Apple devices now i personally think Ipads/Iphones are hugely overpriced, don't have very intuitive layout or menus, limited scope for user freedom to buy whatever apps you want from whatever 3rd party you like and the devices are updated to quickly for my liking. As soon as you've spent a fortune and bought one they bring out another. Shocking!!
The Flyer hasn't suffered from that. There is just the Wifi only model, or 3G model that i have, and then there is the Jetstream 10" tablet (too big IMHO), and it's only available in the USA for now.
I first came to Android when i bought the Flyer and never looked back. My device has a fully working phone feature provided by non-official means, something HTC won't release as an update for the Flyer, ever!! Cracking good quality calls, great reception and audio quality is top notch.
Battery life could be better but if you're going to be watching lots of video or using WiFi/Mobile data for long periods i recommend an external extended battery of 6000-9000mAh. Get them on eBay, they are cheap enough. Otherwise under normal daily use you should get about a day from it. Stick it on charge that night and you're good to go the next day.
The camera is OK and great for impromptu videos or photo's but if you want top notch photos or video get a proper camera that does just that. This tablet is not a camera so don't buy it for that!!
It's a really handsome looking tablet, and the build quality is right up there using 1st class materials.
It's perfectly sized, has pin sharp and bright images/screen, quick to access apps and fly through all the screens in a flash, and internet surfing is just like on your PC,
All in all i think it's everything you could want in a portable comms/computer device and then some. It is like carrying your PC and a mobile phone around but in just one hand sized device.
The development of Android ROM's, Add-Ons and Apps for this device is really strong in the user community and with Ice-Cream-Sandwich (ICS) ROMs just starting to be developed within the community the HRT Flyer just gets better and better. Compared to everything else on the market, pound for pound the Flyer is the best value 7" tablet around.
Awesome bit of kit you can you can use as easily for business as you can for personal use!!
Go on, treat yourself, you know you want one!! :O)

An excellent tablet if you can get over the price tag. Im not a huge fan of Apple so went for the HTC and I have to say this is an excellent product. The pen is rather funky. Dissapointing that you cannot make normal phone calls however Im guessing that this will come in an update as the Flyer is capable of doing so.
This tablet runs really quick, I use it for business all day every day and have had no issues. Battery life is good as well as the applications included and the HTC sense is brilliant.
Splash the cash and get one of these over an Apple any day.

I decided to buy this tablet for its portability. But comparing it with my Ipad i can say that dispatch of the smaller size of the monitor , Flyer is much more better.
1.Touch screen response fast and accurate
2.Magic pen very useful and productive
3.Applications, a lot of them even free in android market
4.Webbrowsing, like a normal pc supporting almost everything
5.Integration with exchange easy and reliable.
6.Battery life adequate
I would recomment this product to everybody
