) I got this to replace my bulky standard tripod, and I am very pleased with it. It can mould itself round nearly anything so you don't need a level ground ( or even ground). It can easily handle my canon DSLR with a long zoom lens. The quick release bracket is brilliant and the whole tripod fits in my camera bag. Will never go back to standard tripods..

Unbelievable useful when travelling with small or nasty flight companies, like ryanair. Light and strong enough to hold my D90, and will never be a space problem for cabin luggage. You can use any ballhead from other tripod, well fit. It was brilliant tool to secure my camera on the tree to take picture of me, jaja! Nice One!

) The Joby SLR-Zoom I took to New York it was the most useful item apart from cemera and lenses, easy to use well made lightweight, and gets through customs with no issues.
with 3kg load it's not steady.
