This Video CD is a prime example of how music has changed. In the 1980s we had real stars who were talented in all respects, like the Great Kate Bush.
Of course she was stunning and beautiful but she was also extremely talented and this collection of her music videos bares testament to that.
Unfortunately it only plays on DVD players with MPEG capability or on a computer screen which can never truly do the videos justice ( in my opinion ).
19 full length videos from her earliest to her later videos such as rubber band girl The Sensual World. You can watch the early videos and hear the songs in CD quality of her earlier works such as Cloudbusting, Running up that hill. Army dreamers, Experiment1V and the very sexy Babooshka.
Most blokes would probably say this was her best video, and to be honest, I , as a bloke, would definately agree.
If only this could have been bought out on normal DVD or BLU RAY then the world would be almost perfect.

A Good addition to any record collection

The Whole Story covers all of Kate bush's most popular songs from the 1970s and early 1980s although it is by no means the whole story of her career. It opens with the re-recorded version of her atmospheric 1978 hit Wuthering Heights. This version has greater depth than the original single and still remains a most remarkable song based on the novel of the same name.
Bush is a unique singer-songwriter with a gift for striking romantic imagery, although her work is not always immediately accessible. The Man With The Child In His Eyes is a complex and moving ballad, whilst Wow is a powerful atmospheric pop song.
Her music can be quite idiosyncratic and full of oneiric imagery, like Breathing and The Dreaming. On the other hand, Babooshka is a buoyant pop song with a catchy tune. This compilation is charming and enjoyable. Overall, Kate's music can be described as a form of art rock, not always appealing on first listen, but very rewarding if you persist.

A Whistle Stop Tour of all Things Bush
Created: 29/01/08
This album is a great way to explore Kate's music without too much expense. It contains all of her major hits from the early days of 'Wuthering Heights' to the later haunting 'Experiment IV'. It is accessible Bush for those who love the soft pop ballad, with fine examples such as 'The Man With the Child in his Eyes' and 'Babooshka' but also has some tracks with a beat like 'Hounds of Love' and 'Running Up that Hill'. For those who want to explore her music further, there are some wonderfully unique tracks like 'The Dreaming' and 'Sat in Your Lap' which give a flavour of the rich material to be found on her other albums. A great buy for the new generation of Kate fans.

Takes me back.

I have always thought that Kate Bush, as a singer, songwriter was somewhat underrated. She always seemed to appeal to the ladies more than us geezers, so I never got round to buying any of her music. Then I heard her sing a song which is played while the credits run at the end of the film The Golden Compass. This prompted me to have a look on ebay where I found this album. Its a compilation of her most well known songs - Wuthering Heights, The Man With The Child In His Eyes, Babooshika, 12 songs in all - takes me back. If you too fancy rediscovering Kate Bush this is a good place to start, then like me you might end up coming back for more.

KATE BUSH - THE WHOLE STORY CD

I already had this CD, but along the way it had gone walkabout, so I bid and won it 'back'. Hearing Kate Bush again makes me realise how unique her voice is & what a very special artist she is. 'The Man With the Child in his eyes' can reduce me to tears, whilst Experiment IV is a wonderful, dynamic track. All KB's most well-known hits are on this CD, but listening to it makes me yearn to get her other CD's. This is a must for fans who enjoy KB's voice, who just want to listen to the well-known chart tracks. Highly recommended.
