Konica Minolta DiMAGE G400 4.0 MP Digital Camera - Silver

The Konica Minolta Dimage G400 is a superb compact digital camera, giving remarkable results for a 4mp camera. The start up time is (was?) the fastest of any small digicam. Ideal as a point and shoot for everyday use with all the settings required for more technical photography if you need it, including night exposures up to 15 seconds. The only drawback with this camera is that the flash for indoor use is a bit weak, and the 1.5" screen is a bit on the small side (fine unless you do a lot of on-camera editting) otherwise it's a brilliant camera. The all metal body means it's pretty rugged, with a metal slide panel to protect the zoom lense when camera is turned off. It's a shame that Konica Minolta stopped making cameras in 2006 (repairs / parts etc now through Sony) as good ones will be getting more rare in a year or two. Still, these are going for between £20 - £30 now and represent fantastic value for money, and will out-perform many newer 7-8mp digicams. 5* value and performance.

A friend wanted to buy a digital camera for her hols. I told her to buy this one as it is the best and easiest little camera to use. She has taken hundreds of photos and is very pleased.

I love this camera because it takes excellent photographs, the battery lasts ages and is super fast from turning on to taking first picture. The video you can take is also good. I bought this camera for my daughter because she likes mine which is also a Dimage G400.
