Love Affair-Everlasting Love (Best of ) CD 2001
Steve Ellis is,to my mind,an extremely underated Singer. He fronted the late Sixties Group "Love Affair" who had Five hits in total, the biggest being "Everlasting Love".There are a few Love Affair CD's out there, but if you just want the hits this is the CD for you.
Included are the Title track, One Road, bringing on back the Good times, Rainbow Valley etc, amongst some good Album tracks of which none sound like filler to me. After the demise of Love Affair Steve ellis fronted his own Band "Ellis", and later "Windowmaker", but both ere shortlived.
As the 90's beckoned Ellis reformed his version of Love Affair and a couple of CD's were released although these were just Live Workouts.
Two recent releases are a solo Cd called "The Aga of Innocence", and a compilation "The Love Affair is Over" which includes two CD's "The Last Angry Man",and other tracks and a DVD of a performance in Bradford performing Soul Covers, and Love Affair hits.
If you have never heard anything by Love Affair this is the perfect place to start as there is some great 60's Pop Music here, and it is also cheap as i got a copy from Ebay for just £4.00.Hope this helps.

A good selection of their work. Very enjoyable.
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
They always say that if you can remember the 1960s then you weren't really there. Well I couldn't remember much about 'The Love Affair' except perhaps one or two of their biggest hits.
The other day we heard their recording of 'One Road' on radio and my wife said "That was good". So we decided to look for a compilation of their recordings and ended up with this one.
I am impressed. They are a good band and I really enjoyed this CD. Their recording of Rainbow Valley I have always enjoyed, and One Road is really dramatic. Good stuff. I was a bit puzzled by the balance between voice and music on Hush but I presume the recording engineers knew what they were doing. It still sounds out of balance to me - but hey! what do I know?
That apart it's a good album, and I did enjoy it. My wife loves it. So there.
There doesn't seem to be much of their material on offer, so this seems to be the best choice for a good balanced selection. It is to be recommended.
I loved listening to my favourite songs again
Took me back to my youth listening to the love affair and some of my favourite songs - wonderful. I think that the songs should be re-released like they do with a lot of songs these days as you cant beat the 60-70's for good music.
Love Affair - Everlasting Love (the Best of ...) 2001
Having been a big fan of the Love affair and having had most of my singles stolen, I was thrilled to find this cd. Not only does it have all their hits on it but it also includes, unusually, the B sides as well, which was a great bonus! The sleeve notes were very informative too. A must for Love Affair fans and fans of Steve Ellis whose gutsy voice just doesn't seem to date. Highly recommended collection.

The Best of Love Affair
Excellent cd. A real trip down memory lane with all the songs that were 'hip' in my day. Still as fresh as they were in the '60s and great for long drives with every song begging to be sung along to!
