Maclaren Techno XT Umbrella Stroller

As a mum of 3 with two children under 2, the Maclaren Twin Techno has proved to be a must-have! I needed a compact double buggy that would comfortably seat both my little ones, and would also fit through standard sized doorways and in my small car boot. The Maclaren Twin Techno met all my needs and is a dream to push to boot! The legrests, seat positions and sun hoods are all operated seperately making this the ideal buggy for either twins, or a baby and toddler. There is plenty of room for my toddler to sit or nap comfortably, and my 5 week old can lie completely flat. The raincover comes with the buggy and provides total protection from wind or rain, and folds very compactly into the basket when not needed. The material of both seats can be removed from the frame and washed- essential if your child has had any leaks or spills. The baskets are large for a stroller and easily accessible when the seats are in an upright position. This pushchair is quite heavy to lift, but this is to be expected with any double buggy. With it's solid and well built frame and spacious seats, I can see this pushchair lasting until the oldest child is 3 and beyond! I am a big Maclaren fan, and have owned several of their puschairs in the past and have always found the quality of the frame and materials to be excellent and well worth the extra cost compared to some cheaper brands. Thanks to Maclaren I am a very happy mummy!

Even with the negative press recently in the news about the product recall, it's still a great brand and produces good reliable pushchair that will last. I've had one in the past but a single stroller and have no problems with it. So when it came to choosing a second hand stroller, Maclaren was top on the list. I also prefer that it was side by side rather then one in front of the other. Maclaren stroller always fold small and will get in the small boot of most cars. The whole stroller comes apart nicely to wash and the wheels always last. They are easy to clean and this particular stroller came with raincover although slightly damaged but had cosytoes, head support cushion and seat beat covers which are all washable. These little extras are a plus especially in the winter time!
There maybe other products in the market but if you want something that will last then i would recommend this product/brand anytime!

Bought a 2nd hand one about 18 months ago to go on holiday abroad with my grand daughter. Fantastic buy and my daughter in law used it all the time after we got back as her expensive pram/pushchair/car seat was difficult to manouve in comparison and filled up her car boot even though she hasn't got a small car. Have since purchased an almost brand new one to keep at my house. Extremely easy to manouvre, feels as light as a feather when pushing but has a very sturdy frame. Easy to put up and collapse. Have no complaints at all about this pushchair but if I was the mum the under basket is very hard to put things in when the seat is laying down if you do a lot of shopping. Pockets are great on the back as you can keep the rainhood in and phone, keys purse etc; The very best thing about this is the hood. It has an extra zip compartment and will almost completely fold over the buggy to prevent rain/sun getting in so is a fantastic pushchair for going on holiday as they can easily sleep in it all day. Great.

Required a double pushchair but wanted one which was compact and not taking up my whole boot space in the car let alone the cupboard in the house. This is the one! It is so simple to open and close and the features are better than expected. 4 position reclining seat and handlebars and a decent size shopping basket on each. I do think that the Techno XLR is better suited for babies as it has the additional carry cot and car seat, with this one a newborn does not look right in it. For the compactness and ease of use it is worth the money!

we have a 2 year old and are expecting another. we use a pushchair daily and walk too far for the 2 year old not to take a pushchair. when we have 2 we will need a double buggy. these are £250 new. For what we need it for a used one for the price is ideal. the mclaren is well made and a good make. this one is specially designed to be narrow enough to go through shop doors. Have a look in the shops at new ones and you can gauge the quality. this is good for newborns and toddlers. overall i am very pleased with it. i wouldnt pay full price for this when there are excellent "low mileage" examples on e bay for bargain prices.
