    I bought this unit as i was looking for an upgrade to my existing unit as i required a quality sounding and feature laden cd player to add to my marantz av reciever and award winning wharfedale speaker system.
    I am a fan of marantz equipment and as soon as this one came up i had to buy it (it also matched my sr6300 amp). the mp3 playback was also a big added bonus.
    The sound quality of the player is very good and i agree with the reviews that it has had in many of the hifi magazines, it sounds very open and clear with all types of music-far better than my old one.
    the rear of the unit offers digital coax and optical however through my testing i have found the analog to give the best sound using quality phono leads.
    all in all i would strongly recomend this cd player to anyone that wants a high quality, top sounding cd player that looks and sounds great.
