Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Family Pack, Upgrade Version, Standard License for PC

Undeniably the best way to upgrade without the hassle of backing up your files (with the added risk of missing something) and reloading all your software, drivers etc.
Simple to use but takes a few hours while it loads. So far, three months of use after installation we have no issues with it. All my files were kept intact and ready to use.
Recommended for ease of use and certainly value for money.

This is a vast improvement on previous Window versions. In fact I converted to Mac because of my disillusionment at the whole Windows experience. I've gone through Windows Me, Xp, Vista none of which impressed me at all. So I wasn't expecting much from this version. But I needed to load Windows on to my Macbook Pro to run some operations not covered by Mac. So I was very surprised once I loaded this version and found my laptop up and running Windows 7 wirelessly within minutes. The new style icons are intuitive and responsive and everything seems to be well laid out and much clearer than before. I have a feeling that a lot of the improvements in responsiveness could well be due to my super-fast Macbook and also that Windows may have nicked on or two ideas from other companies. Nonetheless, I am happy I bought this version and didn't load any of my old versions. I think the inherent weaknesses in Windows revolve around its vulnerability to cyber-attack and the fact that the system itself has a one size fits all approach to all and any Windows based computer it is loaded on and it is for this reason I give 3 stars. For me, Mac rules the roost.

vERY PLEASED VERY EASY TO USE EVEN AN OLD MAN LIKE ME,I LOADED IT ON MY DECK TOP & LAP TOP NO TROUBLE AT ALL,IT MAKES MY P C S A LOT QUICKER ,

After backing up my files using XP i thought that all i had to do was upgrade to Windows 7 and restore the backup, wrong, windows 7 does not recognise an XP backup file, (why)? i had to retore my files using an XP pc then copy them individually to the Windows 7 pc.
Not a great start for windows 7 also my printer driver does not work on a 64bit operating system and when i tried to find a new driver all I could find was a programme Driver Detective which wanted more money to download the driver. still searching for a driver, if you can help get in touch.

Have upgraded my Vista Premium sucessfully with the main upgrade program working well however I would recommend that the vast number of updates which are loaded up after the initial upgrade should be done manually starting with Windows 7 Service Pack 1 then all the other seem to load ok. I tried to load all 76No in one go & it caused me a major headache!! Good Luck with your install.
