I installed this software "I ONLY BUY GENUINE SOFTWARE" and everything was ok, I had a problem with my HDD which I had to partion and format it to resolve the problem, so I installed this software all again ok I proceeded to activate it only to find that it was refused, I tried 2 more times and had no result, I tried again using the Microsoft's automatted system and got the same resault, by this time I was getting angry as I thought I had bought a genuine product, I phoned Microsoft and complained that I had bought genuine Microsoft Win7 Ultimate only to find I could only use it once, they asked me for the details on the box and the key, and informened me that this software was not intended for individual use, the key is for a corperate multi computers and used with a server and it is absolutly of no use to me or any other individual, the seller states "VERY CLEARLY" in his listing that he doe's not give refunds I now know why, so I have not made any attemt to ask for one, it is not what is in the discrition we should look for it is what is "NOT" what is in a discriton that we the buyers should look for it is what the seller has left out of the discrition, what they do not whant us to know that really matters, so it is our choice and for our protection that before we buy we aks deeper questions and "NOT" trust everything as gosable.
As for me it has been a costly expeariance of £60 to find this out.

BEWARE: MANY counterfeit copies on Ebay!!!
Created: 15/02/11
BE WARNED: eBay is RIDDLED with counterfeit copies of Windows 7 Ultimate.
The real beauty of this scam: the software licence will INITIALLY be accepted as genuine when you check it online with Microsoft.
However, it will invariably be a time limited MSDN evaluation licence, which will EXPIRE after three months, by which time you will have NO recourse to the original seller (if they still exist) and paypal don't want to know.
Some of the DVDs appear genuine but the COA sticker and most importantly the Proof of Licence Label are fake and do not stand up to close scrutiny.
The big giveaway: check for micro writing on the background of the Proof of Licence, conterfeit copies appear no to have this, plus hold the label up in front of a strong light source. The security thread should be continuous. Shiny a light from behind will show gaps.
A genuine example can be seen here:

Oh, and buying from an established "top-rated" seller is no guarantee of avoiding conterfeit copies.

Conterfeit goods

This copy of Windows 7 from davefemi is COUNTERFEIT. And the product key may stop working anytime.
I advise you to open a dispute through eBay to get your money back before it is too late to open one and you are stuck with a version of windows that no longer works and no way to get a refund.
Ways to tell it is counterfeit:
The hologram on the disk is raised at the edges like it is a sticker. Real disks have the hologram embedded in the disk itself and you cannot feel the edge of it when you run your fingernail across the disk.
The Certificate of Authenticity and product key stickers have a holographic strip with oval or square shaped windows cut out through which the holographic strip is visible. Real CoA stickers have the holographic strip interwoven through the sticker itself, with rough fibrous paper edges, not cleanly cut windows.

Windows 7
Created: 23/04/11
I purchased Windows 7 64 bit as I was sick and tired of Vista (we all know it was just a beta for W7 right? The same was said about Windows Millenium was the beta for XP!) Anyway this windows is stable, looks good and does have good support in respect of drivers except my Logitech G15 Keyboard who need to buck their ideas up!!
At the price I paid I do not have a problem with legit software, in fact there is NO WAY that Microsoft NEED to charge £220+ pounds for OS alone. If they (Microscrooge) reduced it to a resonable price then people wont bother the pirate versions! Microsoft greed prompts its own problems, MAC OS X can be purchased for around £100 with office etc etc if you look properly !
Anyway windows 7 is the best PC OS to date, lets see if they break it with Windows 8.

A Good buy, but slightly disappointed when compared to Windows7 Standard.
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this product for a newly built PC, custom made for gaming, I had a few doubts at first, as to whether I should buy the Standard, or Ultimate version.
Fast installation is definitely the first positive I noticed, however, I started to realise that there is no major difference to the Home version and the Ultimate version. Although it runs slightly smoother than Home version, I see almost no difference to it.
If I had the choice again, I would buy the Standard home version, and spend the £20+ I saved on a better CPU cooler.
However, I do not regret any decisions, as Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) is definitely the powerhouse of all Operating systems available.
