SINGING IN THE RAIN WITH A C.L HANGOVER
XBOX 360 WORKS WITH KINECT, AND I DON'T MIND TELLING YOU THAT IT IS IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, THE ULTIMATE SPAZ FEST.... I DECIDED TO BUY IT BECAUSE WITHOUT AN XBOX, PRANCING AROUND IN FRONT OF YOUR TV SET IS JUST ULTIMATE SPAZ... ITS A FINE LINE BUT, ONE THAT NEEDS TO BE DRAWN NONE THE LESS.
AS FOR THE FOOTIE RESULT, OUR RECENT TRIP TO BLACKPOOL WAS THE BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME SINCE JUSTIN FASHINOU PURCHASED AN ENGAGEMENT RING... THE BACK OF THE NET WAS DEFINATELY THERE, AS BLACKPOOL HAD NO PROBLEMS FINDING IT, BUT FOR SPURS... WELL, MAYBE 'ARRY NEEDS TO TAKE THOSE BOYS DOWN TO SPECSAVERS FOR SOME BASIC EYE EXAMS.
I WOULD SUGGEST PLACING A LARGE RED "X" AT THE BACK OF THE OPOSING NET, HOWEVER THAT MIGHT BE OPEN TO ENTERPRETATION AND COULD SEE OUR PLAYERS PAUSING DURING GAME PLAY TO AUDITION WITH A SONG OR DANCE ROUTINE, WHILE FALSELY ASSUMING THAT SIMON COWEL WAS SITTING BEHIND THE GOAL MOUTH.
AS A RULE OF THUMB FOR THIS SEASON, SPURS (AKA "DOGGY STYLE UTD", WHICH HAILS FROM OUR OUTSTANDING ABILITY TO EXCELL AT COMING FROM BEHIND), SHOULD HAVE NAILED IT SHUT AND WON THE GAME DURING THE SECOND HALF, AS IS NORMALLY THE CASE, HOWEVER AS ARSENAL RECENTLY PROVED WHEN FAILING TO BEAT LEYTON FREAKIN ORIENT... GO FIGURE.... ONE OF THE BEST TIMES TO PLAY A TOP FLIGHT PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE IS THE VERY FIRST GAME AFTER THEY PULL OF A MASSIVE WIN IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, AS SAID TEAM WILL MOST LIKELY BE SUFFERING FROM WHAT IS TECHNICALLY KNOWN AS... A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE HANGOVER... A SADISTIC AFFLICTION THAT DABILITATES PLAYERS FROM DOING NORMALLY MUNDANE THINGS LIKE WALKING, RUNNING, DRIBBELLING (A FOOTBALL, NOT SALIVA FROM THEIR CHINS), PASSING A BALL, OR LORD FORBID, SCORING.
THOUGH IN ALL FAIRNESS... BLACKPOOL PLAYED AN ABSOLUTE BLINDER AND VERY MUCH DESERVED THE WIN.
IF YOU'RE STILL READING THIS AND YOU'RE WONDERING WTF THIS REVIEW HAS GOT TO DO WITH THE XBOX 360 I PURCHASED... YOU REALLY SHOULD HAVE STOPPED READING THIS THREAD ABOUT TEN MINUTES AGO, SO MY ADVICE TO YOU IS STOP READING IT NOW, LEAVE YOUR COMPUTER, GO OUTSIDE, GET A LIFE, AND TRY TO ENJOY IT :)
FOR EVERYONE ELSE, 40 ODD YEARS AGO, HOW BANG ON THE MONEY WAS JIMMY GREAVES WHEN HE SAID... FOOTBALL, ITS A FUNNY OLD GAME.
I MEAN PEOPLE CALL HIM A P*SS HEAD... ME, I'D SAY THAT HE'S A LEGEND, AND SOMEWHAT OF A VISIONARY, COS FOOTBALL IS A FUNNY OLD GAME, COS A BETTER TEAM THAT BEAT MILAN LOST TO BLACKPOOL, AND ON PAPER, THAT SHOULD NOT WORK, YET IT DID.
THE ONLY GOOD THING THAT I CAN TAKE FROM THIS IS THE FACT THAT I'M NOT A GOONER !!!!!!!!
BLACKPOOL MAY WELL BE PROPING UP THE BOTTOM OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE, BUT THEY ARE A PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE, AND WHAT'S MORE, THEY'VE ALREADY TAKEN IT TO MAN UTD THIS SEASON, NO MEAN FEAT COS NO OTHER PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM HAS MANAGED TO DO THAT.... PLUS.... LEYTON ORIENT!
WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE FOR THAT GOONERS? BY ORIGINAL STANDARDS, THEY'RE A THIRD DIVISION OUTFIT.... SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME !
I HOPE BLACKPOOL STAY UP AND I HOPE THAT WEST HA.... I MEAN, STRATFORD UTD GO DOWN :)
XBOX WITH KINECT IS THE NUTS.... 'ARRY, GET SOME FOR THE BOYS TO PRACTICE WITH, I MEAN ITS GOTTA DO A BETTER JOB THAN YOUR HALF TIME SPEACH COS THAT WENT DOWN WITH THE SQUAD LIKE RABI AT A PORK FARMS CONVENTION MATE.

The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.
Some major features of the Xbox 360 are its integrated Xbox Live service that allows players to compete online, download arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, music and movies and its Windows Media Center multimedia capabilities. The Xbox 360 also offers region specific access to third-party media streaming services such as Netflix and ESPN in the USA or Sky Player in the UK.
The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The console sold out completely upon release in all regions except in Japan. As of June 2010, there are over 41.7 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide.
At their E3 presentation on 14 June 2010, Microsoft announced a redesigned Xbox 360 that would ship on the same day. The redesigned console is slimmer than the previous Xbox 360 model and features integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, TOSLINK S/PDIF optical audio output, a 250 GB hard drive, 5 USB 2.0 ports (compared to the 3 from older versions) and a special AUX port. Older models of the Xbox 360 have since been discontinued.
With the announcement of the Xbox 360 S, Microsoft have said that they believe that the console is only mid-way through its lifecycle it will continue on through 2015

Xbox 360 Core console
This is the first games console I've purchased since I bought my original Xbox 6 years ago. I wouldn't have bothered but my all-time-favorite game is Halo and unfortunately Halo 3 on Xbox 360 only.
The console works well and I've got it hooked up to a 26" LCD HD-Ready TV to take advantage of its 1080i/p output. It's fast and the graphics are great but it's a bit noisy and can take ages to turn off as the fans stay on to presumably cool things down before finally powering down.
I don't know about this "Red Ring Of Death" thing, I hope mine never gets it!
My machine has a 120Gb hard drive strapped on top which is absolutely cavernous unless I start downloading movies, music or the like to it (which I probably never will so). I think the hard drive is an optional extra for the "Core" system, I think it normally takes memory cards but a hard drive is an absolute must really.
I didn't like the controller that came with it and I have replaced it with a new wireless controller with the "Charge and Play" pack, again something else which is essential because apparently the controller eats through AA batteries.
Connectivity to the TV wasn't 100% straight-forward; fortunately on my TV I have the requisite connections but I can imagine others having to fork out for SCART- or the like- adapters (I believe it's supposed to come with some sort of SCART adapter but mine didn't).
The other connections are normal; USB for controllers on the front and on the back for accessories and Ethernet/LAN port for internet connectivity.
All-in-all I am pleased with my purchase and hope that I will get the time to have hours of fun playing Halo on it.

Good HD console - still a basic package in some ways
I just wanted to share my experience with the XBOX 360. I have the old xbox and going for the new one I went straight for the XBOX 360 elite with the 120gb and improved chipset after seeing so many broken white 360's on ebay for spares and repair. The hard drives are mostly used for downloadable content like films and games downloaded from XBOX live. If you dont intend to download much you wont need a massive hard drive - 60GB is more than enough for most people!
I unpacked it all and set it up - its very easy to do but you will need to connect it to the internet to let it update itself to the latest software (you dont have to but its best to). You only get one controller (unless you buy a bundle) you will need a second controller for two player games. You can connect to the internet wired if you like by using the included network cable. If you want to play against other people online you then have to buy a xbox live gold membership - more money!! I suggest looking on eBay for xbox live scratch cards as I found you can buy a months membership cheaper on ebay than most shops.
XBOX's are prone to overheating which then causes the motherboard to warp and this is what causes the 360's to crash and get errors (known as the red ring of death or RROD for short). To stop this happening I bought a clip on external fan unit which is advised to protect your investment. Its a shame Microsoft havent improved the cooling system if heat is such a problem and built in wireless would be a massive bonus (like other consoles now have). I didnt find the fans / console noisey like some people have mentioned but i guess that depends on how close you are to it, ambient noise and size of the room etc..
You can play most original old xbox games on the 360 - there is no need to buy one of the "xbox 360 update disks" advertised on ebay, these dont do anything important. If it needs to the 360 will download an update / patch automatically the first time you play an original old xbox game. Playing old xbox games is a bonus if you dont want to fork out full price for a 360 game. You cant play the original xbox games over xbox live on te 360 - only local play.
A good point of the 360 is most of the games are full 1080p HD (or at least 720) so you get a nice crisp gaming experience. A good quality HDMI cable is included and you also get component leads should you want to use those. Colin McCrae Dirt is an amazing HD racing game. Overall an OK console but the constant spending on extras and XBOX Live membership is annoying and you cant help like you are being fleeced for every penny.
To save money on the wireless adapter dont buy a £50-£60 official xbox adapter buy a wireless bridge (about £25) this gives you a wireless access point to which you can connect any wired device so just buy the bridge and connect the xbox to it with the included cable and you are done.
I hope you will vote "YES" for my honest review. I like to write proper reviews not ones saying "great item now visit this website and get one for free!" which if you dont know are a con!
