Very disappointing

We have several different manufacturers radios on our small farm shoot. The G7's were supposed to be an upgrade, but have proved to be unreliable and not on par with ANY of the cheaper brands. One G7 radio was sent back under warrenty as it could receive but not trasmit. This radio was exchanged I believe. 2 Years on and the same fault has occurred in this radio also. It was sent back to Midland who returned it with a note saying, OUT OF WARRENTY, NOT WORTH ECONOMICAL REPAIR. This is certainly not a quality product, nor quality service. I expect much more from a manufacturer of Alans status.

These are very sturdy and well-built radios. Work as well as any proffesional non-liscence radio, but for a fraction of the price.

Midland G7 walkie talkie

This radio has been popular for some time, providing a very good performance at the right kind of price tag. This later version comes with in situ charging of the internal nicad batteries, a big advantage over the earlier models, has all of the features you would expect on a model of this cost, and performs particularly well. The manual is well laid out, it looks smart and has a good range. Well worth buying
