When it was Navman it was good. Now it is Mio Navman it leaves a lot to be desired. The unit itself it very good, but the back-up is very poor. Downloading the map updates is a fiasco(don't delete the maps on your sat/nav like they tell you to do, save them first, you may need them in case of malfunction, then delete). the safety camera updates just will not download on to my 575, having tried 4 times to do it,each time microsoft said there is a fault with the Mio programme. Contacted Mio helpline and all I got was, reload your desktop, very helpfull, do they not think that you try all the obvious avenues first. Finally, whilst trying once more, my system crashed, and has been a nightmare recovering. The unit is good pity it didn't stay as Navman, I wont be buying a MIO ever again.

lovely item for the price, simple to use and good screen size and good graphics... no drips at all apart from the voice commands are a little quiet... for me, a young healthy chap its fine, but the 60+YO father in-law cant always here it!

Its true what they say..... You get what you pay for. As a lower end market sat nav, it's not too bad, & it will get you from a to b. I had to go to an industrial estate the other day, & it gave me a list of street names near the post code I typed in, but not the actual road. I re entered the post code, & it gave me a different set of street names, but again, not where i wanted to go. When I got nearly there, I had to ask for directions, & it turned out i was 4 miles away from my destination !. I would not recommend this sat nav to anyone who needs to use it frequently, but it is ok as a cheap prezzie for new drivers etc

Would probably go for a higher spec, but clear and easy to use.

Looks identical to our Spirit S555 but its the available 'other' options that are different. The S555 has more additional features to be used than the S757 but having said that it is a lovely easy satnav to use and we're very pleased with it. The Mio series are good.
