Great Motorola Phone
Created: 05/07/08
I bought mine unlocked and just swapped in my Orange Pay-As-You-Go SIM card from my old phone and I was using it as soon as it charged up. Great.
The phone is neat and reasonably small (easily fits in a pocket or handbag), and the screen is very clear to view with the settings being easily accessible. The addition of a small screen outside which lets you see basic information if you are playing MP3's through it, or if a call comes through, is great. If a call comes through while playing MP3s it pauses the music for you to take the call and then re-starts when you finish. The phonebook lets you put in more details than just the name and phone number, which is handy if you are out and about (eg. you could just look up a postcode to enter into your GPS to be directed where you are going.)
Mine came with a bluetooth headset which was quite easy to connect - just charge up the phone and the headset (headset uses the same charger that came with the phone), then, with the mike, (which also acts as the on-off switch for the headset) folded in, in the off position, press the button on the front until the ring around it lights up. Immedietely let go and flip out the mike. Then go to the phone, arrow down for Personalise, arrow right twice for Connection then Select. Select again for Bluetooth Link. Select Add Audio Device, and the phone found the headset. (I suppose the position of Personalise, Connection and Bluetooth might be in a different location on some phones, I can only go by where they were on mine.)
I've even managed to get it to dial out using voice commands from the headset, although the voice reading the names back to check that the phone had understood correctly was a bit faint and wasn't completely accurate reading back some of the Welsh names I'd put in.
I bought a MicroSD card, which I loaded up with MP3 music via an adapter into a slot on my Laptop before putting it in the phone (put in folder : mobile\audio). This works great, either selecting individual songs to play back or making up a playlist.
I've also used the 2MP camera inbuilt into the phone. Which, for a phone camera with no flash, produced very reasonable pictures both in indoor lighting and outside, which was quite impressive. The 4 x 6 printouts looked much better than I expected, with the outside ones being best. I took the MicroSD card out of the camera and once again put it into the my Laptop SD slot using an adapter and used my prefered photo software, although you can use a cable to transfer images and MP3s to and from the card without ever removing your MicroSD card once you've put it in. The phone even comes with some of its own memory inbuilt, so you don't have to use an extra card at all if you don't want the expense, although the number of songs and photos you can store on the phone will obviously be limited.
I've used the phone for a week now, and it is much better than my previous one. Time will tell whether I will still be as impressed, and whether it will rugged enough for constant use.

If you need a Mobile Phone which is powerfull but small, big specification but small in size, you will struggle to do better than the Motorola KRZR K1. Internet access is easy, along with MP3, Camera, Video and real working voice activated control. Bluetooth gadjets can be stored on automatic such that when you come into range they will automatically connect. Brilliant for both hands free and Satnav in-car compatability. The only possible weak point is wear on the touch pad keyboard, a problem some mobile phones don't last long enough to experience. The battery lasts several days for normal use and talk/hear quality is superb. All in all a great little phone.

Flip Phone

After searching various local shops I had been unable to find a new motorola flip phone, apparantly most phones are now the push-up types. Finally found the Motorola KRZR K1 Cell Phone on eBay.
Slim and compact, in a very sexy blue colour. It was exactly what I wanted. It does everything my previous Motorola does but with lots of additional things, ie blue tooth, video, internet and email.
Only one draw back, the back of the phone is quite flimsy, I damaged it whilst putting in the battery for the first time.
Apart from that, I love this little phone & I am very pleased that this is the model that I purchased to replace my old mobile.

I purchased this phone as i was looking for a new flip phone similar to the Motorola Razor. I found this one which i think is one step up. It was a very good price, looks very stylish and the silver reflects well so acts as a mirror too. It was a very good price and can be found on ebay but not your local network supplier. Most of this model are sold from china or Hong Kong, however i purchased this one second hand as i wanted to be certain my phone was compatable with my network, so thought if i purchased from a seller in UK then i could be certain of that. It is very light, slim line enough to fit in your pocket and display screen on front of phone so you can see who is calling before answering phone. The keys and features are very easy to use and find your way round. The only thing i would have liked would have been that the phone had a nice couple of games on it but sudoka is the only one, so downloads are needed. All in all though it is a good phone, comes in a variety of colours and can be found at silly prices. Shame no longer available direct from network suppliers as all flip phones seem to be getting faded out.

Review for Motorola KRZR K1 Cell Phone
Created: 09/07/09
Hello, i just wanted to say that i bought this cell phone as my wife's cell phone was not working properly. As she wanted to have something approaching to her model so i surfed eBay and finally got this model. I did not tell her just wanted to suprise and hoping she would like. The price and features colour was good.I checked some feedback and finally bought it. My wife was not so excited as she wanted a 3G phone just like her's.The first thing she compared was the size and weight and eventually began to check the features and finally liked and adopted the phone. As for me i am happy that i made a good deal for a good phone. The only thing that i would have made me really happy is that it was a 3G phone.Thanks.
