NetGear DGN1000 150 Mbps 4-Port 10/100 Wireless N Router

All up,the N150 Wireless Modem Router DGN1000 is a simple ADSL2+ modem/router with a nice look and it can be wall mounted.it's perfect for an apartment or small house its simple to set up plug it in and it sets itself via the netgear site.its not the slowest nor the fastest of routers but good for the money....

As a fan of Netgear products over the years I was disapointed with this model.
On the plus side it was easy to configure using the supplied cd software and it is a fairly attractive looking unit. Using ethernet cable it worked fine although for some reason, both upload and download speeds were lower with this unit compared with the olderDG834 it replaced. Wireless configuration was straightforward and the push n function worked well initially. After a couple of days wireless dropouts became frequent - later followed by a complete failure to connect wirelessly with two laptops. reconfiguration failed to resolve the issue.

In my opinion this Router is one of the best quality/price.

All we had to do was enter our username and password. The modem detected all the connection settings on its own. When you first install the modem and log in to its interface, it will check for updates to its firmware — it does this even before you get a chance to configure it. Just cancel this and perform the upgrade after you've set everything up. It's a good feature for users who don't feel comfortable manually upgrading the router's firmware.

Nice and modern stylish design. Wireless N speed ok. Reliable never loses connection. Easy to setup and configure the ADSL connection settings. Wireless config easy to setup.

This router worked seamlessly first time and connected to my network as expected. It gives much better wifi and lan speeds than my ISP's supplied router.
