NETGEAR DGN2000 300 Mbps 4-Port 10/100 Wireless N Router (DGN2000-100UKS)

Bought the item in the UK, via the UK Ebay site. Item arrived quickly and without problem. I did however encounter 1 issue, the router itself was an american model with american firmware and although i could get a wireless network through it, i could not recieve a wireless internet connection.

Internet was still available through the wired connection (via Ethernet cable) so downloaded and installed the european firmware over the top.

product now works great, just would have been nice to have a warning about the firmware prior to purchase.

The NetGear DGN2000 has proved to be excellent value.
It has a good wireless range and was simple to set up
we have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with our Router and would definitely use NetGear products again.

I bought the NetGear DGN2000 because I felt sure (backed up by very positive roadtests) that if all else failed, the NetGear DGN2000 would probably be reliable.I had been using an ISP supplied router which I suspected was not working properly, it was the second I had tried from the same stable both caused many problems that the ISP didn't want to admit.With the NetGear DGN2000 I was able to demonstrate the failings of the other products very clearly. It was easy to set up, and in the couple of months that it has been in use, the quality of my "Connection" has improved dramatically. Thank you NetGear!

i know this router is getting a bit old now but after trying another brand i had no choice but to go back and buy another old faithful, i dont know why but this is the only router i have had that gives me no problems with online gaming, after losing all faith in my isp to give me settings for 2 belkin routers and after speaking to belkin direct, i gave in and went back to this router, wish i had done it months ago all my problems have now gone away, i know this probably isnt a complete review but it explains why i bought another.

This is a factory recondition unit. However, its had the wrong firmware installed. Also, no setup CD or manual, just a web address of Netgear.

Fortunately, as an expert in this space, I installed the correct firmware and setup quite a complex number of settings to get it working. This told a few hours of playing in total

Its a good price and perhaps I was unluckly but best suited to people who know what they are doing.
