This NetGear router wireless router uses Wireless B technology at a speed of 11 Mpbs and data transfer rate of 100 Mbps, and offers the option of up to eight secure VPN (Virtual Private Network) connections. A useful feature to enhance security is that any attempt to breach the firewall of the NetGear router is automatically reported to the network administrator. The NetGear FVS318 router offers network administrators the facility of tracking and controlling internet usage, blocking access to specific websites, and filtering content. Through its Ethernet RJ-45 port this wireless router offers 10BASE-T connection to any broadband modem, including cable and CSL.
