The camera is a good starter DSLR, and can film very good quality HD footage. It's comfortable to use, easy to understand, and is generally perfect for semi-professional photographers or filmmakers. However, its performance in low light leaves much to be desired and pictures and attempted to compensate has lead to lower quality, grainy photos.

Awesome Camera and wonderful results. Was able to get along with it pretty quickly.
the user manual was really useful to operate the camera at the first go.
The best part is the LCD screen which can be flipped and own pics can be taken with it.

I have always used Nikon cameras, This camera is typical of all the Nikon range. It is a very useful piece of kit. It is loaded with useful bits of technology. I also own the D3100 and the D3200. I like the swivel viewing screen. This camera compares well with my other cameras and is excellent value for the price.

Bought this camera after reading many reviews.
It was Canon or Nikon,chose Nikon in the end as most experts felt there was little between them and I have been happy with Nikon in the past.Easy to use,great picture quality and features on this camera.Plenty of megapixels for most people.
