The F3 is a top quality manual film camera from the 80s an 90s. It will go on for ever! Reliable, robust, solid. Compared with modern digital cameras it is heavy, cumbersome etc, and of course you have to put film in it and wait for the photos to be developed! I have always wanted one, so now I have one, and am well pleased. All I need is the old sports car to go with it, then I can and pose with both together! But seriously, if you want to try 35mm film for the first time, or return to it, this camera matched with any modest manual lens (or an autofocus one switched to manual) will take great photographs for ever.

These are excellent cameras and much lighter than the nikon F4. It runs on 2 watch/calculator batteries. It is good for experimental analogue photography. Prices for Nikon F3's have fallen. Perhaps better to get a nikon F2 if one wants a mechanical nikon as the F3 uses electronic circuits. Due to the age of this camera users should pay particular attention to its working condition. Some nikon F3s are in good working order and others have been haeavily used and battered. Pay particular attention to its condition unless you really want it and are ready to service it. Better if you know how to service it yourself because servicing might cost more than the camera itself at a professional shop!

Best manual/semi-mechanical camera ever made by Nikon. Much better than the fm2 and fm3a as it's a pro body, lovely design and batteries are so small you can always carry a second set.
Will never lose value!

This camera is clearly a professional camera. Finder and focusing screen removable, and many other functions. Is the last model of the professional series without the auto-focus, in this way you are forced to think before shooting!
good luck and have fun with your new/second hands F3s!
