I bought this product as a 21st birthday present for my boyfriend, he absolutely loves it. had an issue with connecting it to our modern TV, but was able to get a wire for £5 to solve the issue. He says, its is a brilliant console for retro gaming, it is a brilliant console with lots of good games. Its ram expansion options are good for playing more ram heavy games.
would definitely recommend this console to friends.

I bought the Nintendo 64 as I enjoy retro gaming. It's a very robust console, and I've never heard of one breaking without some serious damage being inflicted, e.g. water damage. As far as ratro consoles go, it's an incredible console, great value for money, and it has a wide vareity of games.
The only negatives are the fleeting stocks of some of the top games. Titles such as Legend Of Zelda, Ocarina of Time are in demand, driving prices up.
Overall it's a great console, and is greatly enjoyed by my family.

I bought an N64 on a bit of a whim, but I found what I considered to be a pretty sweet deal.

The item that I bought came with 5 games, Zelda (boxed with manual, searching for the game shows results of £20 for But It Now), Goldeneye 007, Diddy Kong Racing, Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Lylat Wars. Plus the console, two controllers and all the cables; £50 wasn't a bad result if you ask me.

These games are as fun today as they were back then, especially the likes of Goldeneye and Zelda.

The only trouble I've had is that the controllers that came with mine are unofficial ones, and are either abysmal quality, or have just been used so much that the joysticks are giving out (a common problem), so I need to get new ones at some point.

Graphically it still stands up, being able to pull off what many of its emulators still seem to struggle with (Goldeneye, for instance, needs a high system requirement to even run decently on a PC).

The down-side of course (at least to me) is additional accessories. These can still be quite pricey from what I've seen. The 4MB expansion pack (giving the console a total of 8MB) is one of the more expensive ones that I've seen, whereas on an emulator you can ... well, emulate it. But emulators just aren't the same as playing that actual thing.
