What can be said that hasn't already been said about the DSi? Building on the success of the original DS & DS-Lite, Nintendo have produced a thinner lighter device that also packs in 2 cameras and an SD Card slot.

Games are the same as ever, a good selection of fun, by and large family friendly, games with colourful graphics and excellent touch screen interaction. Some games don't make as much use of the touch screen as they could but they're still fun. The graphics, whilst technically not very hi-tech, work well and the screens are lovely and bright.

The Wi-Fi option is very handy, altho you will need to make sure your router supports it as the DSi doesn't connect using WPA/WPA2 encryption so this could be a problem if that is how your Wi-Fi is setup. It does support AOSS & WPS push-button systems tho so all is not lost. Once connected, you can use the shop to purchase games in a very similar fashion to the Wii. You won't see the latest blockbusters for sale in this manner, but there are some gems to be found. You can also browse the web generally using the excellent Opera browser that is built in. The Camera, 'app' or 'channel' can also upload any pics you take to facebook, which is handy. This is no iPad but is handy nonetheless.

In conclusion, for platying games on the move or just chilling at home, you can't beat the DSi and and now the DSi XL is out, you also have the option of bigger screens. Watch out for the new 3DS as well, with improved 3D graphics.

I have bought this for my 4 year old's Christmas prezzie and I have no doubt whatsoever that he is going to love it! It has a camera on both the inside and outside of the console so you can see yourself on the screen if you want to take a picture of yourself. For parents, it also has parental control over internet access which is a must if giving to young children. Has many more features than the standard Nintendo DS and the colour is perfect for my boy. All at a cost of just £108 from an ebay seller. I can't wait to see the look on my boy's face when he opens this Christmas morning. Would definitely recommend this for anybody who likes gaming or who have children that enjoy computers.

great console built in camera which takes good pictures , built in games ,you can use ds games .you can download on it .Overall son loves it !

Well the system is a lovely little gadget and i can play for hours unlike the previous nintendo consoles like advance. i love the games although think there should be more, and they seem to be pretty basic too, i enjoy the internet on it and the camera, making it a lot like my phone, without calls and texts....... The screen is a lot brighter than the previous models and this makes game play much easier
it does take a good while to charge but holds a fair bit of power when it does, and doesnt need batterys like other models and other handheld games. would defaintely reccomend :)
