Nintendo Game Boy Advance Indigo Handheld

Hi all, i am trying to write this short review in english to make this accessible to all (hope my poor english could help)

1) why may I buy a gba instead of a gbaSP?
gba comes much more confortable at handhelding than gbaSP. Ok, the gbaSP is retroilluminated when the gba's not, but lens magnifier with light is very cheap and can easyly fulfill that lack.
SP has the battery pack, but 1,2V AA rechargable battery are everywhere and when you could spend alot of money for a replacement original nintendo battery for an SP, you could intstead buy 4 AA rechargable batteries. they're cheaper and when a couple batteries is playing, another couple is recharging, so you could be always free from the AC/cable (when the SP is low batt you can't make the same).
The SP has a flip, a breaking point, the gba is sturdy!

2) but I WANT the battery pack!! what can i do?
no problem: ebay shares a lot of aftermarket rechargable battary packs and AC adaptors.

3)why have i to buy an old technology when the gba games are played with a nintendoDS?
The (great) nintendo DS doesn't read old gameboy or gameboy color's games, gba reads everything.

Other considerations:
It's a NIntendo, it's make to be played by kids, so it's made to resist. There's a lot of aftermarket for replacing parts, carrying the console, HUGE lots of games... i think the right question is "why i should not buy a gba?"

A Nice hand held game system, with a 2.9" colour LCD screen and good graphics for a 32bit CPU and 256KB of onboard Ram, also uses 2x AA batteries or mains power charger, 1x Earphone socket and volume control and power on/off switch.

This system can play the Gameboy colour games, nice and lightweight around 140g.

The graphics is not bad to fair and the sound is not too bad also.

These systems come in a range of colours.

I got this hand held system for when I go out and about.

I bought this Game Boy Advance as part of a present to my boyfriend. He loves games consoles and previously owned one of these but he broke it. I, myself, have one of these too and I love using it. I'm a huge fan of Game Boys and this one is very easy to use and has pretty decent graphics and colour for such an old console. The Game Boy Advance can play games made for use with a game boy advance but can also play games for older game boy versions such as the game boy colour and game boy classic. Although nowadays it is difficult to find games for this console in a shop, there is a huge selection online if you know where to look (ebay is great for this!). Because of this, the consoles are quite cheap and great value for money. I've played different consoles including playstations and xboxs but I really like this because it's handheld (it quite resembles a psp) and light and small so can be carried around easily. It's ideal for trips away as well as around the house. A slight disadvantage is that the typical battery life, I've found to be around 15-20 hours. Which as anyone who has played an addictive game like Pokemon, knows isn't a very long time. I used to own a charger for it when i was younger so it's probably possible to find one online. Overall, a fantastic product. I'm very happy with it and can guarantee that anyone else who buys it will enjoy it too!
