This is the special edition NES Gameboy SP, which is very rare to find. Apart from the shell being rare the console itself is a normal GBA SP. However, the nes retro cover is very cool, has a logo on the lid and sticker on the inside pad inside which make it more unique and special - a must have for any retro collector! And it takes all the same games as a normal GBA SP and the same charger! If you find one in good condition for under £40 you have done really well. Great console and recommended for anyone who wants a bit of a special GBA SP.

Personally, of all the limited edition shells, (zelda, mario, pokemon versions, spongebob, kingdom of hearts and tribal) this is definately my favourite. Maybe its becasue it is so retro, but I love the look. Also, there is a classic retro NES games selection which Nintendo also released with games like the original marios and pacman. It is just retro history!!

Brilliant console, it allows original Gameboy, Color Gameboy and Gameboy Advance game cartridges to be played. It improves from original GBA as it has backlit screen (very useful to see in low lighting conditions). I brought this for the reasons of legacy support of the Gameboy franchise, the backlit screen ability and rechargeable feature (no battery changing!) The only thing that's not there is the audio jack found in other Gameboys, but it's not that bad as volume control on this one is good.

I brought the NES version as it looks quite nice with the retro design. Also it maybe worth more money if I ever need to sell it in the distant future.
