Nokia 7373 Review
Created: 18/01/08
The Nokia 7373 is an upgraded version of the 7370 from Nokia's L'Amour series. It's a visually stunning phone, available in a choice of colours - Powder Pink (pictured) and Bronze Black, with more masculine graphics. The 7373 has the same swivel design as the 7370. It's a very compact phone when closed, and to open you flip the keypad sideways so that it rotates in your hand into the open position - cool! The surface finish of the phone is stunning, with elaborate, tooled surfaces and embossed finishing. One negative aspect is that the phone has to be opened in order to access the controls - other rotating or sliding phones usually have at least some navigation keys on the outside, so that the phone can be used when closed.
The 7373 shares the same stunning high resolution display as its predecessor. This is a large display, at 2 inches across, making excellent use of the swivel design and complementing the external look of the phone. The camera on the 7373 has been upgraded to 2 megapixels and there is also a video recording function. The 7373 is a competent music player, with a media player capable of handling MP3, AAC, WMA and other popular formats. It also has a built in FM radio. Audio quality is pretty good, with simulated 3D sound from twin speakers, and support for stereo headsets. A "fashion" stereo headset is included in the box.
One very welcome improvement is the addition of a MicroSD memory slot. This means that you can add up to 2 Gbytes of additional memory for storing MP3 tracks or videos. A 128 Mbyte card is included in the sales package, which is plenty to get you started.
All of the other features that you'd expect from a high-end phone are here too: Bluetooth & USB connectivity, high-speed internet, high quality MP3 ringtones, a handsfree speakerphone and Java games. We're pretty impressed by the Nokia 7373. It's a far superior phone to the 7370 that is replaces. It's got the looks and it's got the gadgets too. If the battery life had been better we'd have awarded it 5 stars. The 7373 is now available very cheaply on PAYG deals.

Charming and original.

I love this mobile phone, even the brown, more "manly" (can I say that in this day and age?) version, with that deep blue stone and blue tag. I am saving to by the Pink one, well what else, I am a very "girlie" female so when this came out I knew then but the price was too high for me.
Recently I got to handle one, own it, for a short time, that did it for me, hours of reading all about flip phones touch screeen phones, music phones, phones that wake you up, etc., and what have you, I knew this was what I wanted. I have always changed my mind over the last 15 years to the point I have just bought a Nokia 8310 PAYG again, just to have that little blue light up screen again, but, yes, gone off it now - no camera!!
I am not techical in regards to my mobile, have a camera that is very technical and of course downloads, MP3 player etc., with I Tunes facility on my laptop but do not want this from my mobile, however a built in camera does give you screen saver ability which enables you to take picutures of people you love, having that on my mobile means a lot to me, not pictures all over my desk, a camera for that and no other reason.
The weight in your palm and looks of this exquisite model that still gets envious glances on the bus and train, will never change in my view, as soon as I can get enough cash together I intend to buy it, may be even a cheaper version, wrong colour then buy a new fascia - sorted! If I won the lottery I would buy the Nokia Gold £250 I believe because that too is one of their head turners.
My mobile has replaced my obsession with shoes, and thanks to Ebay (another love affair)! I can watch, wait and then purchase in safety through Paypal, my favourite bank and enhance my days with my mobile a true L'amour affair which will never end.

Really good phone
Created: 06/07/08
I bought this phone for my 10 yr old daughter. This is her review.
I love the way it flips sideways and it comes with a free phone 'tag'. I love the colour. It has a really good camera. I also really like the sim card space as it has a lift up 'door' instead of trying to slide it out or prise it with your fingernail. It is also good that when you take the battery out for a minute it doesn't reset the time and date.
I dislike the fact that I cannot find anyway to display the time and date on the screen.

Good Solid 'Different' Phone....!!

Bought this phone for my daughter and it looks and acts pretty good.
The 7373, an upgrade from the 7370, shares the same stunning high resolution display as its predecessor. This is a large display, at 2 inches across, making excellent use of the swivel design and complementing the external look of the phone.

A 128 Mbyte card is included in the sales package, which is plenty to get you started. I bought a 1Gb card and it's great easy access for adding pics, tunes etc.
All of the other features that you'd expect from a high-end phone are here too: Bluetooth & USB connectivity, high-speed internet, high quality MP3 ringtones, a handsfree speakerphone and Java games.
Generally I'm pretty impressed by the Nokia 7373. It's a far superior phone to the 7370 that it replaces. It's got the looks and it's got the gadgets too. My daughter loves the pinkness and patterns on it, and the swivel is solid. The phone doesn't feel cheap and I recommend it as a great girlie fashion accessory.
