) It was time to purchase a full format DSLR and upgrade from the compacts that I've been using. Digital cameras have now more than proved themselves capable over their film predecessors.
Of course there are plenty to choose from and I'd say the main reason that I picked the Olympus is becaise of my 'Brand Dedication' to Olympus...not that there is anything wrong with the opposition. I've just always favoured Olympus as they feel just right and always provide outstanding results.
This is no different with outstanding build quality of both the body and the lens. I eapecially like the fact that it is weatherproof so can be used in situations where any other camera and lens assembly would be ruined.
