Panasonic DMR-EZ25 DVD Recorder

As my old DVD Recorder had developped some "glitches" and become unreliable I decided to look for good value,new DVD Recorders on eBay.I saw that this one was available,and at big discounts on high-street prices.Also by searching on-line it was evident that it is high-spec and user-friendly.
As with any item of this sort it takes a while to work out all its functions and uses.However,now I have done so this is a tremendous piece of equipment.Main plusses are its inbuilt Freeview with TV Guide for "Idiot-proof" programming of TV Programmes,its very high picture quality and its ability to read from and to an SD Card.It also has the ability (Using DVD Ram Discs) to start viewing Recordings while still taping another programme (or,indeed,start watching a Programme before it has finished recording it).The Remote Control is also excellent,and I am still finding useful Functions some time after acquiring it (These may have to be "stumbled" upon,as the only drawback is the slightly unhelpful Instructions booklet).

Its a great product and knowing that the name Panasonic is only associated with excellence I knew that it would be great. Its got an SD card slot and Freeview and its easy to install and use. Even my wife can use it!
Having taught myself to always 'think EBay' first when I want to buy something this was another great purchase from a great manufacturer. And it saved me around £40!

Quality of recording and playback is very good indeed and includes the effective HDMI uplift. I have 2 Panasonic recorders - ES10 and ES15 and they are good for general pro work - VHS and Cine transfers etc. I also download from SK HD box to disk on this machine. This is actually my second EZ25 and I must get the other one repaired. It decided not to recognise any DVD disks, including blank DVD-R which I always use - at 14p each I do not bother with other formats. I liked the deck so much I went straight onto Ebay and bought another. My holiday pics on SD play back beautifully on an HD TV.
So I recommend this for its' quality but reserve judgment on reliability....

I work shift work and miss my programs im the evenings.I decided to make an offer for the recorder i bought which the seller generously accepted,and i am very satisfied with my purchase.MY only problem is, there is so much it can do,i dont use it to its full potential,but,its there ready.My photos look brilliant on tv,due to sd card slot.I.must say,it is really easy to use.ONE button recording from tv schedule.There is just too much to list,but i think it has about everything you would need from a recorder.Except there is only one tuner so what you watch is what you record.I have a seperate freeview box as well.

I have quite a number of 8mm camcorder tapes form years ago with my young family and wanted them converting to DVD.
This unit does that very well as also having free view and hard disc which menas I can also record the television programs and if need be then copy to DVD etc.
Excellent product works extremely wel in all formatts.
