Panasonic HX HX-DC1 80 MB Camcorder - Black

This is a brilliant little camera that gives versatility in a compact package. Easy to use, it gives great quality video at the touch of a button. Combined with a 14mp still camera you couldn't wish for more functions in a unit comparable in size to most smart phones. Brilliant for making candid records of anything, with an impressive optical lens as well as a sensible digital zoom enhancement. All this from something that will fit in any pocket. It's not designed to make big screen productions or competition winning stills. What you do get is photos and video of good enough quality to be viewed via the HDMI socket on the largest flat screen TV, the quantity limited only by the size of the sd card or the battery life (which isnt great but after market spares work just as well as OEM at a fraction of the cost).

Brought this item as a replacement for my digital camcorder that had its screen go funny. A small compact design with FULL HD and believe me a great little video camera. Excellent clear stills at 14MP and video is also crystal. All controls are simple and easy to use. The only down fall is battery life which only records about 50 mins start/stop before a recharge is required, but thats not surprising as it needs to record in high def and you have a big screen to power too.
