excellent bridge camera hard to beat for a super zoom digital camera.panasonic's excellent electronic's outshine all the rest.a great price around £230 well worth it dslr's are far to expensive for a starter in photography.the fz 45 is very easy to use on auto and has some great tech feature's 9 out of 10 for me you can rely on panasonic for a great camera*********BATTERY LIFE EXCELLENT+24X ZOOM SMOOTH AND QUICK NOT CLUMSY AND SLOW LIKE SOME OF IT'S COMPETITOR'S ON THE MARKET.THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THE MACRO SETTING NOT VERY EASY TO USE GOT BETTER RESULTS WITH THE OLD TZ6.OTHER THAN THAT A EXCELLENT CAMERA, WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO A FIRST TIME ZOOM CAMERA BUYER.

Not as good as I hoped for (more expensive but worth every penny is the Cannon) but still decent pictures and ease to operate. May be it is just me but expected a little bit more from Panasonic. In fact is same quality in my opinion as the older version of Lumix.

I really wanted an SLR but this is wayyyy better, easy to carry and all that good stuff but SUPER Quality! A whole 14mp with shutter speed and aperture customs!!!! Compared to my old camera the macro function is AMAZING!!!!! I actually picked up a hair strand i was amazed! haha Thanks a lot :DDD I can photograph happily now :3

I AM AN EX PROFESSIONAL WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER. I RECENTLY BROKE MY SMALL POCKET DIGITAL CAM AND DECIDED TO BUY THIS CAMERA. I FIND THE INTELLEGENT MODE TOTAL RUBBISH FOR INSIDE SHOTS AND IS EASILY FOOLED OUTSIDE. AND THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO HOTSHOE IS A BIG LETDOWN AS OFF CAMERA FLASH IS IMPOSSIBLE. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER CAMERAS ON THE MARKET AROUND THIS PRICE RANGE. ON THE PLUS SIDE THE QUALITY OF A WELL TAKEN PICTURE IS EXCELLENT. I HAVE RECENTLY ENLARGED A HEAVILY CROPPED IMAGE TAKEN AT ISO 80 TO 24X20 WITH NO VISABLE SIGNS OF DISTORTION. THE BIGGEST LETDOWN IS THE BUILT IN FLASH WHICH ON ANY CAMERA WILL ALWAYS GIVE A POOR RESULT. THIS CAMERA WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER WITH A HOTSHOE AS IVE SAID BEFORE..I HAVE RETURNED THIS CAMERA FOR REFUND.
