Philips PET716 Portable DVD Player (7")

I was, and remain, very pleased with this unit. It came boxed with both mains and car chargers, is light but sturdy and has a decent 7" display. It is labelled as refurbished, but it looks like new. The rechargeable battery life is around 2 hours. It's a shame that when the unit is plugged in it doesn't also charge the battery when a DVD is playing, but this is a minor point.

The price and the brand name were the main factors for the purchase and I would recommend it.

I bought this dvd player for my 4 yr old for when we were on holiday. It is nice and light and small enough to take in hand luggage. It plays very well, does everything you need it to, and is very easy to use. My 4 year old can use it on his own without help. The battery life is about 2 hrs. It is perfect for my needs, and my son loves it. For the price it is excellent value, as you could pay a lot more for a similar product.

This was the second of these players we've bought for one of our kids, and with them being widely available at a bargain price they're now a great buy for children. This is now an ageing model, and it's not hugely endowed with sophisticated features - but the clamshell design gives it some protection, the screen is very good quality, and it's simple enough to operate that it is fine for kids from about 6 upwards.

great product,great for the kids as it simple to use light and compact.uses all regional dvds and plays compact discs as well.

I bought the Philips DVD Player on behalf of my friend as this is a xmas gift for her husband she is delighted with it & cant wait to see his face on xmas day!
