Samsung NP-NC10 10.2" 1.6 GHz Laptop PC

I already had one of these and wanted one for my daughter. They are great quality, well designed and built. The keyboards are neatly laid out and even my big fingers can type on the almost full size keys. The best thing about it is the battery life. I hardly ever run out of battery when using it on my lap - lasts for 5 hours plus. This one has a different hard drive from my previous one - which is a fujitsu and makes a slight whirring sound when active - shame as my other one is entirely silent. You can't specify what hard drive you get. Overall excellent. I didn't bother to upgrade the memory to 2gig as it seems fine without - I did with my other one and can't tell the difference.

Fast, easy to use, does everything you need. Fantastic little computer for the price. Highly mobile, ok its not a tablet but who needs one when you have one of these. And I've always had a great experience with Samsung products.

Highly recommended to anyone thinking of buying a second hand netbook. This model was rated top of its category when first released and all the reviews I read were full of praise.

This notebook is small enough to take with me when travelling, the weight is good and it is well made of very good quality. It has a fast processor of the Atom range for a a notebook and runs the internet perfectly. It comes with windows XP home has standard which I think is a very good operating sytem and less problematic than the newer operating sytmes available. Because of this the notebook runs quickly and easy when browsing the internet. With its built in wifi quick and easy access for intenet is available. It is has a battery life of 6 to 8 hours which is better than most newer version notebooks available allowing you to leave the machine off charge for longer. Browising and downloading multimedia, video, music is good because the notebook has a large hard drive quite sufficient 160gb of space to keep files and documents and downloads. The processor is quite fast and this therefore makes such tasks easier even with a notebook. The portability of the notebook allows you to use it on the move when travelling, allowing a dongle to be used with this. Overall a very good machine and durable of very good quality. Very happy with purchase.

I bought this notebook after reading many reviews suggesting that the NC10 is one of the beeter nottebooks in my price range. Having built in 3G capablity helps for those times whne no wifi is available.

Its performance and usability are both superb, however, the onl reason I didnt rate it as 5/5 was becuase of the problems I encountered when trying to upgrade to Windows 7. A few of the features available in XP are not availabe in W7 and indeed without runing in XP compatability mode, didnt funtion well or at all. Also, the Intel Atom processor seemed to slow a little when running W7.

I have reverted back to XP for the interim and will maybe try again in the future if some of the drivers and software have been released to be more W7 compatible; otherwise this is a truly superb notebook and more than capapble of performing most web browsing and office apps quite easily.

TIP - If you do go for one of these, you may wish to buy a new screen cable. I bought mine via ebay as the old one was starting to fail and deliver the whote screen fault that these units are known to suffer with. It takes about 1/2 to change it and then the netbooks a real slick piece of kit

This is my first netbook and I'm amazed of how good it is. It is a lot faster than my laptop, yes I know the laptop is few years old but i thought it was fast but this Samsung Netbook is fantastic. I know it is in white but i dont really care, I use the Wifi & Bluetooth more often now. I cant really say much more but a BIG thanks to the seller, for an excellent product.
